Dr. Jeff Music Lessons

Music lessons are my full-time job and I am dedicated to teaching my students in many ways. I teach students of all ages (5 to 70+) the way they learn best, the way they want to learn, at their pace and at their level. My teaching methods are customized to every student. We pursue what interests you with some exposure to new styles of music. I can cover anywhere from songwriting to jazz to music theory—virtually anything. Since I have a doctoral degree in music, my education has been very well-rounded in many different styles and skills; I pass this on to my students. Music lessons should be fun, but also controlled. I strive to be the teacher I wish I had growing up. I really enjoy watching young students grow up with music and watch them accomplish and discover new musical aspects. I really appreciate my longtime students because they are like family to me. I also enjoy when I get unique students with different personalities and musical interests because they encourage me to think about music differently and to teach differently. Every student's adventure or path is different and that makes teaching interesting for me. Since I love music, I get a chance to remember what it was like growing up with music as I teach!
