Hello!
My name is Dr. Emily Telling. I have a Doctorate degree and a Master’s in classical piano with over 8 years of experience teaching private piano lessons and groups in the classroom, from kindergarteners to college students, and adults!
My main focus as a teacher is to tailor lessons that help students reach their goals. Whether it’s improving technique, music theory, or learning to sing and play, I love to teach all ages and all levels of experience!

Emily has been teaching piano to my 10yr old son for the past 5 years. Before finding her we tried lessons with a music conservatory as well as remote lessons with a private instructor, neither of which hooked my child’s interest.
Emily is patient, well educated and keeps learning fun in a variety of ways. We are very happy to have found her!

My children love working with Miss Emily. She is professional yet fun. I feel my children are progressing well in their piano skills, utilizing a combination of classical and traditional in addition to personally chosen music. It is a joy to work with Miss Emily.

Dr. Telling has been teaching my 4 kids piano for a couple of years. My kids all love her! They have learned and progressed so much. She motivates my kids without me having to. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. She has been the BEST piano teacher my kids have had. We highly recommend her!

My daughter has been taking lessons with Emily for 2 years. She is steadily progressing and enjoys her lessons. Emily is great at working with kids and keeps her engaged through out the lessons. I also appreciate Emily's good communication!

Emily is so gifted with her talent and ability to teach my 6 year old piano. My son wanted to finish this review. “She makes me love piano more by keeping it fun and gives me confidence with how she tells me I’m doing well”. If you are a parent that wants the best for your children then don’t hesitate, hire Emily!!! We are also completing the ASP program for Arizona.
