Our story goes back a bit - 7 years to be exact. I contacted Dr. Jo Ruddy at Counseling Concepts, LLC because her information was the first that popped up when I typed in "hypnotherapy in Tucson." I was suffering from post-partum depression, emotional issues, and suicidal thoughts. I had met with many psychiatrists and psychologists and felt I knew how to "play the game" / provide the answers they needed so that I did not end up in being admitted. Honestly, I believe that Dr. Ruddy was brought into my life to be my mirror. Not only did she show me who I was at the time, but she also showed me who I have always been. Her kind, no-nonsense approach to mindfulness was not challenged me to really focus inward and find myself. Dare I say, we laughed, we cried, and she became a part of me. I realize that I had to do the work, but I couldn't not have done it as effectively, eloquently (tears, snot, and all), and effeciently without Dr. Ruddy's guidance, love, support, and light. She gave me one of my most precious gifts - me - and I am forever thankful.
I have been a work in progress for the past 7 years, I had already whittled 160 pounds off my 51 frame. March 2013 is when I began training with Eric Contreras. During our first training session, I told Eric I just wanted to get fit. He was patient and listened to me after which, together we went to work. I knew Eric was someone special. He was so positive, encouraging and supportive. Here it is mid July and I cant believe in have lost 31 pounds and have only 2% of body fat left to burn off!! I have dropped 3 dress sizes and have a whole new appreciation for fitness. Justin always checked before having me do exercises, which is good if you are no longer twenty or twenty-five.. and designed exercises appropriate to what I was able to do. He also co-ordinated with my physical therapist, which was going way beyond required professionalism!
Coach Lou is a fantastic trainer. He is very supportive,motivating!!!!! He is a book of knowledge,always has information on weight loss, workout techniques and always changing it up which is needed to keep you going and interested. I have lost 35 lbs with coach Lou!!!
I have been training with Bert for over a year now and I must say that Bert is by far the best physical performance trainer and/or coach that I have ever had, and I do not say this lightly as I have participated in multiple sports throughout my life including division one track and field for four years and have worked with a great number of different trainers and coaches. What really separates Bert and his program from the rest of the field is the fact that he is able to systematically engineer and even forecast results where so many other trainers and coaches can at best tell a person that they will see results but are unable to tell them when and to what degree they will see results. Bert is very big on measuring progress by regularly checking his clients heart rate, weight and body composition using the most accurate technology in order to determine what is necessary in order to help each client obtain maximum results in the most efficient and effective manner. Personally When I first started with Bert I weighed around 155 lbs and in less than 6 months I was up 195 lbs, adding 40 lbs of lean muscle when for years I had struggled to add even 10 lbs of lean muscle. What really sold me on Bert's program was the fact that he was able to predict on a regular basis what kind of gains I could expect to see after each workout provided that I ate according to the diet which Bert lays out as the foundation of the program, and I can't remember one time when Bert wasn't able to accurately predict my progress or tell me where I got off on my diet. Ultimately is is this high level of care for his clients and attention to detail which makes Bert the very best at what he does, and the person that I would most highly recommend for anyone looking to gain muscle, lose weight, overcome sickness and disease, or just improve their overall health.
Sarah is a sensitive and knowledgable yoga teacher. I've taken a few of her classes and found the combination of yoga poses, breathwork and chanting to be very effective for calming the mind and strengthening the body. Afterwards, I feel more centered and at ease, and have learned some new techniques for working on my own as well. I highly recommend both her classes and individual work and am looking forward to studying with her again.
In the past six months working with Israel, I've managed to put on nearly 15 lbs of muscle. All of my lifts have gone up and my confidence is the gym has never been higher. Israel has a way of truly motivating his clients. He has shown me nothing but kindness and has maintained a positive attitude all throughout my progress. He will push you hard but take into consideration your goals, your body, your abilities, and most of all your time. No session I've ever had with him has been wasted time. He remains focused and takes every workout seriously. All in all I will say that Israel is quite knowledgeable when it comes to training and he clearly takes his own training seriously. I have learned quite a bit in my time with him and have been able to nail down my own routines based on what I've done with him. There are many trainers out there but I highly recommend him if you're looking for someone that is honest, kind, knowledgeable, and motivating. He will absolutely go out of his way to ensure that you are meeting your goals. If you are willing to put in the work and take it seriously then you WILL progress. Highly recommended!
Nancy is a very caring and considerate professional who listens and provides life skills that make a difference. Her peaceful nature makes her very easy to talk to. Her vast knowledge combined with her sense of caring make Nancy an excellent choice as a life coach and I would 100% recommend her!
Cody has been helping me to achieve my goal for a couple of months, with a hip bursitis diagnosis and some other issues, I not only achieved it but learn so much about how my body really works, form and nutrition. I had not experience any pain at all and the 1hr workout routines are INTENSE. The trainers at Ignite are friendly, they know your name and the clients are very cheerful, all ages and you don't need to look your best to walk in and feel welcome, I love the atmosphere!
