FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my cosmetology training in Washington state, I have experience in special occasion Hairstyling and makeup applications for photo shoots, fashion shows, and formal events (proms/military balls/bridal parties). I have also worked in cosmetics for over a year helping others select makeup for their skin type and providing makeup applications.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you know what you're looking for, I would look at portfolios to find hairstylists/makeup artists that have done what you are looking for and you like their work. If you don't know what you're looking for I would look for someone that you like their own makeup/hair or styles you've seen in their portfolio because even if you're not quite sure what you're looking for you know you like their style!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I would think about how much time you have allotted for hair/makeup and discuss scheduling- especially if there are multiple people requiring both hair and makeup, it's important to be on the same page as far as allotting time for each person and the services requested.
