Certified grief/recovery coach specializing in suicide post-vention. As a suicide survivor I offer the advantage of personal experience as a peer grief coach. I chose this work when I discovered the need for grief work specifically for suicide survivors. I am passionate and enjoy it because I believe suicide survivors need specialized and empathetic help through the grief process. Grief is a normal response to loss. When the grief process is thwarted depression can develop and morph into complicated grief. Suffering a loss due to a suicide is trauma informed and as such has the potential to induce post traumatic stress disorder. My goal as a coach is to help survivors move through the grief process towards acceptance and resolution. This does not mean that they will understand why their loved one chose to die. It simply means that they will have reached a level of understanding they can live with through mindful and deliberate grief work using creativity, innovation, and spirituality as the tools for transforming grief.
