Carrie has an amazing talent and we were so lucky to work with her on our wedding day. From the moment I spoke to Carrie, I could sense a warmth and familiarity that put any concerns at ease. Carrie was able to set the tone perfectly in line with what we were hoping for during our ceremony, and was able to weave in our own personal anecdotes and sentiments seamlessly. The ceremony was truly delightful -- it was above and beyond any expectations that we held leading into our wedding and we feel so lucky for the special ceremony. Aside from hosting a beautiful wedding ceremony, I also found Carrie extremely easy to work with -- we had an introductory phone call to get to know how best to work together, and my partner and I had a great time filling out Carrie's survey. I was so impressed with how well our responses were integrated into the ceremony. Carrie also worked with us to create the overarching narrative of the ceremony -- this ensured that the tone and essence of the ceremony matched our specific relationship. It felt "just right." Lastly, Carrie has an innate ability to blend in to any social situation -- it was so natural having her with our friends and celebrating our matrimony. Carrie officiated our wedding ceremony and it was an amazing experience! She took the time to get to know us and our relationship and created a wonderful speech. My husband and I opted out of sharing vows in front of others so we were worried about the ceremony being too short and fast. With the speech she made it made up for our lack of words and expressed to our friends and family how we felt without us needed to speak at all. With her extremely helpful guidance we also added in a hand fasting. With our little experience with wedding ceremonies , Carrie was very informative when we looked for guidance and set our stress at ease. We got Carrie on board to officiate our wedding at the very last minute when our original officiant cancelled. With very little time to spare, and me and my fiance going crazy with last minute wedding details, Carrie got straight to work getting to know us as a couple. She had a great questionnaire that was easy for the both of us to fill out that helped us communicate to her what we wanted for the ceremony. When we didn't know WHAT we wanted for certain aspects of the ceremony, she gave us some great ideas. Carrie is one of the brightest, shiniest people you'll ever meet, and she is SO easy to connect with. We had so much fun going through the process with her and she made it all so incredibly easy. We trusted her enough to let her take some creative liberties of her own to keep our ceremony fresh and full of surprises. We got married on May 12th, 2012 and there was nothing that could have made the ceremony more perfect. We laughed, we cried, and we got married. Carrie did an amazing job. I couldn't possibly recommend a better person to officiate your wedding. I should also mention that we got married in an obscure decommissioned summer camp in the woods. Although half our wedding party had trouble, Carrie had no problem finding it. So, she's good at directions too.

I can't imagine a better officiant for our wedding than Carrie. Carrie took the time to interview myself and my husband, separately, in advance of our big day so that she could use specific anecdotes and personalized information to create a tailored ceremony that reflected who we are. We've all been to those weddings where the ceremony feels rote, like it's been said a million times before at a million different weddings. That was absolutely not the case for the ceremony that Carrie created for us. It was funny, it was sweet, it felt like "us" in the truest way. And on top of being an amazing ceremony, Carrie has this calming, steadfast presence that put us both at ease and allowed us to remain present. We cannot recommend her enough!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can correspond either in person or virtually, I want to get to know my clients in order to weave a very personal ceremony that they, and their guests, will never forget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ordained as a Reverend to perform Marriage Ceremonies in California through Universal Life Church. I’ve also officiated in Oregon and Massachusetts.
