Introduction: Jnana Gowan is the founder and director of Powerhouse Education; a company dedicated to the health and well being of all individuals. A teacher for over 10 years, she specializes yoga for women in transitional times- from pregnancy to menopause. Jnana’s classes are Iyengar influenced in style and for all levels – from the beginner to the seasoned practitioner. As an instructor, she has the unique ability to make people of all ages and sizes feel at ease and to share their true essence. She finds it is highly gratifying to share with each student the wonder and excitement of a body in balance. She has taught transformational workshops at Noetics Sciences, Esalen and the San Francisco Zen Center and other venues as well. She has written chapters for two books Executive Stamina and Mindful Motherhood lending her insight of asana in the field of motherhood and corporate America.
