My mother lost her legs and only had one working burner, on her cook top. My mother lives in California and I live in North Carolina. After over a month of trying to get it fixed though Home Depot......never getting anything done through Home Depot again....my husband called someone, who came out, and told us we needed an electrician, before he could do the job. I found thumbtack and posted my request. Thanh replied and was at my moms house the next day. He was polite, knowledgeable, up front, and reasonable in cost. My mom has a few more repairs needed in her home and I will be calling thanh again.
I hired Jose on a Friday afternoon to demolish my courtyard after we had flooding after a big rainstorm and faulty exterior drainage at our 30-year-old large custom home. He had a crew of five men here the following Saturday morning working by 8 AM. They did everything he promised quickly and efficiently on time and on budget. I highly recommend him.
We've had Greg do a number of projects for us from painting several rooms in our house to painting the entire exterior and most recently touching up our kitchen cabinets. We have always found him to be really great to work with, is very efficient, does an excellent job and has very good prices. I would highly recommend him for your projects!
Very small tile repair job but Michael did it anyway. Spend over 2 hours and made the repair look great! Not perfect but how do you match dirty grout, right? I will use Michael for my next complete re-tile. Great Job Michael!
Jamie, was very professional and did a great job installing my exterior door.
Kevin Ghazarian worked with me on a variety of prominent projects at my home. In all aspects from budgeting, design, planning and organization of the construction schedule, he was a tremendous asset. On each home improvement he displayed exceptional qualities of creative-problem solving, fortitude as a leader and task-master and attention to detail in design and craftsmanship. I am very pleased on how well the projects turned out, which is due largely to his professional contributions. Highlights of projects are described as follows: 1. Interior painting of several rooms and kitchen. The design motif was a traditional Tuscani color scheme. The original and uniquely beautiful architectural elements such as the curved kitchen cabinets, wordolf walls, crown mouldings, bay windows and fire place mantel pieces were individually painted separate colors. This was challenging in its multi color design and tedious attention to painting the details. In two rooms alone there were 15 different colors used, all of which had to be the perfect color and hue. 2. Installation of wood floors. A beautiful distressed antique wood flooring was installed in the kitchen, pantry, bathroom and large family room. This involved subfloor demolition, removal and replacement, and the detailed installation of wood flooring and moulding. The hard, back breaking work required a number of workers managed by Kevin. As a result, the work flow was systematically optimized and driven until the projects completion. Kevin was a relentless task master and has many skills as a talented worker. 3. Electrical rewiring of bathroom and hallway. The old wiring was faulty and insufficient and new wiring was pulled and replaced. All ceiling light fixtures, electrical outlets and switches were chosen and installed. A 3 way switch system was a necessity and was devised quickly and installed correctly to code by Kevin. This all required the knowledge and skill of a trained electrician. 4. Construction of exterior deck. This project involved much post production planning and design. Trek decking materials, sub deck foundations, metal piers, treated lumber of all sizes, and all the special screws and bolts needed to be estimated and purchased for this large construction project. Unlike a simple rectangular shape, this deck was complex in design with multiple angles, levels and steps. Cutting perfect angles and lengths of Trek decking were a necessity in order for this deck to turn out as provocative and beautiful as it did.
Very friendly, on time and courteous. I'd recommend him for any type of kitchen remodeling. He installed a new backsplash, installed 2 new light fixtures, fixed and replaced floor tiles as well as other misc. Jobs on our home. Great bid pricing too. Honest guy. He also gets right back to you when you contact him. Highly recommended him for your home remodeling or repairs.
Rick did a great job with both my interior and exterior paint. He was responsive, very neat and the walls and garage doors look perfect. His bid was fairly priced, which I really appreciated. Would hire again!
I hired Tim to install exterior window shutters after my original shutters were damaged in the rain. Tim was quick to respond to all messages and the project was scheduled that same week. Tim showed up at the scheduled time and completed the project in a timely manner. My new window shutters turned out great and I would hire Tim in the future for my handyman projects.
Hyde Handcraft was one of the most professional, hard working and honest contractors I have ever worked with! When considering which contractor to hire I had multiple bids. Hyde gave a very fair bid but was actually not the cheapest. I decided to use them based on the other reviews on Thumbtack. I am so glad I did! They always showed up when they said they were going to, or they would give plenty of notice to a change in time. They moved furniture carefully and cleaned up every space cleaner than it was before! They were so kind to our kids always talking to them and never annoyed at the constant questions from our 2 year old :). They put so much pride in their work...while installing all of our crown molding it would have been easy to not work with the crooked wall. Yet they spent way more time than they planned making it look perfect! They also installed exterior doors for us and they did an amazing job! I will definitely be using Hyde Handcraft again for any other work I need done and I highly recommend them to anybody who wants a fair price, professional contractors and outstanding quality. Josiah
Working with Kent was very good. He did some exterior painting and repairs for me. He did a fine job. He's a pleasant person. His advice saved me money! I would recommend him to anyone.
Renato (Gudiel) and his team are fantastic - it is such a relief to find reliable, nice guys in the construction field. They have done many projects for me, from an extensive inside remodel to exterior landscaping work over the past 4 years. I would recommend them (and have) to anyone - they are efficient, trustworthy, and easy to work with - always putting the client needs/viewpoint as the priority. Highly recommended!!!!
Flores Constructions did some exterior paint work, plumbing and some bathroom kitchen installations. They are absolutely professionals, good work ethics, good attitude and always keep things in the clear. I'm hiring them back for more work in the future for sure.
We hired Cova Construction to install a new garage back door and a security door. They arrived on time, and were ready to work. They installed both doors, new locks and new trim. They cleaned up after they completed their jobs. The work was thorough and completed to our satisfaction. Good quality work. I had no issues with the doors, they work perfectly. We have some other work we would like to have done and we will definitely hire Cova Construction to complete those jobs for us. They were on time, finished work in a timely manner and are very professional.
Hired Fausto to do my exterior painting for my house. Very pleased with their work and price was very reasonable. He went over and beyond to make us happy. Would do business again!
John just completed bifold closet door installation in the baby's room, as well as 11 interior door installation across the house. I was very impressed with John's quality of work. He was always on time every morning, efficient, and really knows his skill. John removed old interior doors, installed/painted new doors, installed new hardware and trim. For bifold closet door installation - he built out part of the wall to make doors fit. I feel like to have found John on Thumbtack and will be recommending John to friends and family!
Removal/repair old cottage cheese ceiling down hallway,repair/paint cracked ceiling in bath,retexture/paint walls in bath, hall and bedroom,repair/paint wood trim and doors. Great job! Everything went as promised,on time and reasonable cost. Highly recommend.
Perhaps handyman for the jobs I needed: cleaning out the water heater, adding handles to cabinets, changing out a tall LED bulb, and repairing exterior gates. Thank you so much for your help!
John did a great job repairing an exterior door that was extremely difficult to open and shut. The work was excellent, he worked quickly, and despite a large amount of sanding, the house was cleaned up beautifully.
Hired Quality A 2 Z to repair my flat roof and job was done in 2 days. They were clean and quick. Would definitely hire them again for more projects. Great job Mr. Butler.
After a phone chat, I sent Mr. Duin an e-mail outlining the projects I had in mind. I asked him to help me select those that fit into my quarterly budgets. Together we selected three that needed attention this winter. 1. stabilize a wobbly 6 foot block (gate) wall that was inches from a gas main, 2. Build a short block wall that would hold back dirt from a muddy embankment, 3. Reinforce a swaying wood fence and wrap metal posts with cedar – box style. Mr. Duin and staff did an outstanding job of listening to my needs. I was impressed with their work, quality of materials, work ethics and attention to detail. They were very pleasant to work with and I look forward to our next round of projects. I hope to include the trim/molding (with up lighting) along the ceiling of my front porch which will have to wait until early Spring – due to budget considerations.
