Justin N. says, "Gene did a great job with this project. Especially because he is a one man army. I have 17 and a half foot vaulted ceilings, and there is a lot of wall space. Gene painted all the walls and the entire ceiling by himself. Just him and his ladder. It is very impressive. It took him 3 days to finish all the walls and the ceiling, which is extremely quick. He then needed to come back and put another coat on the ceiling, and for that he rented a scaffold and finished the ceiling in a few hours. The walls and ceiling look great. I’m happy with how it all turned out. Before hiring him, I shopped around with different painters. The Average price was about $3,500 not including the ceiling. Gene said he would do all my walls and my ceiling for $2,800. So, I decided to go with Gene. Limewash typically takes about 3 or 4 coats to really bring out the texture. Gene only provided 1 coat with his price. But, it’s not bad thing. If I wanted more texture and more coats I could just pay him more to do so. But for $2,800, 1 coat looks great. The walls look a little more like worn out concrete, rather than limewash, which again, is great. That’s the overall look I was going for. I was trying to have my home have a stone/concrete vibe. So, with the one coat, that’s exactly what it looks like. Anymore coats, of course the limewash would have been more prominent, but it also would have changed the feel. It would have been less concrete and stone and would have been more classy. They are both good vibes, but I am happy with the way it turned out. If I want more of the limewash texture I can always hire Gene again to do more coats. But as of right now, I am happy with everything. Gene is a very hard worker and very nice guy. I highly recommend."See more
