i found the rec room searching up the top ten best recording studios in la. i decided to book a live recording package for my band and was soon scheduled..my experience here was incredible upon arrival. i was greeted by scott and entered his artistically decorated studio. Scott is a great guy, and is easy to get along with. it was as if i had already known him for quite some time. we set everything up and got to recording. we chose to record three songs for better quality purposes and once that was done we went to the mixing portion. scott has many years of experience and impressed me very much. he made a live recording sound official. he knew exactly what to do and made sure we were all happy with the final cut unlike other recording sessions i have had with other places. in the total of five hours we walked out with our cds with a good fun experience. if you have anything you need recorded i recommend you do it at the rec room. thumbs up

I've recorded with Scott while in a few (very different) bands and the experience has always been exceptional. Both projects were long-term as we both tended to shoot for the moon. One of my favorite things about Scott is his excitement for a project he's working on. He gets behind what he's doing and you can tell he's never going through the motions. We would go back and forth for HOURS on the most minute details regarding the most ridiculous things (phasing and panning 10-tracked vocals!) and it always ended up better than I could have hoped. Also, the environment just can't be beat. No sterility, no clock looming over you. You disappear in the cocoon of the Rec Room and time just vanishes. A magical place.

Thanks Cody! I totally appreciate it. I miss those sessions. I have thoughts of remixing/mastering The Magic Circles now that I have thousands of more hours under my belt. Better acoustics, equipment, etc. But you guys were one of my all time faves for sure.

I sincerely can't say enough superlatives about The Rec Room. Scott Flammer is a true professional and a great guy to boot. He produced my band's last album and poured his heart and soul into the entire process, from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and record at The Rec Room.

I have been a long time friend and client of the Rec Room. Over the years my band has produced several recordings with Scott and we have always been ecstatic with the finished product. While the recordings have been fantastic, it has been the process that has kept us coming back. Scott is amazing to work with and is open to all kinds of ideas. I recommend him highly and can't wait to work with him again myself.

I am a trombonist in LA and play with artists such as Arethra Franklin. I have recorded at studios all around the world and have never been more happy than the recording crafted by the Rec Room. I have showed it to many of my professional colleagues and they have given it nothing but praise. I couldn't recommend any studio more than this one.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your research with other local studios. Know what you want to accomplish and be realistic. Will this recording be a demo, to post on social media, self-produced for sale at shows or is a label putting this out? The answer to this question will determine your budget and the best approach we take in recording your project.
