FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is built around three simple packages — Essentials, Classic, and Signature — so you know exactly what's included before you book: consultation, your ceremony script, the ceremony itself, and full handling of your marriage license paperwork. There's a retainer due to hold your date, with the balance due before the big day — no surprise charges added afterward. Travel within a set radius is included in every package; ceremonies farther away have a small, clearly stated travel fee. If you want something extra — a rehearsal run-through or a longer time on-site — those are available as add-ons at a flat rate, so you're only paying for what you actually need. I'm happy to walk through pricing on our first call and tailor a package to your day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with an initial wedding consult via phone or video where we talk through your date, venue, and the kind of ceremony you're picturing — formal, relaxed, religious, secular, whatever fits you two. From there, I'll send over a simple service agreement to lock in your date. Once that's signed, we get into the fun part: building your ceremony script together, with room for revisions. A week or so before the wedding, I'll check in to confirm final details — timing, venue logistics, and anyone else involved in the ceremony. On the day, I arrive early, make sure everything's set, and walk you through your vows and the signing of the marriage license. Afterward, I take care of submitting your signed license to the county within the legal deadline, so that part's completely off your plate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was ordained through the March of Faith Outreach Ministries, which involved formal training beyond just the ordination itself. Over the years, I've regularly preached and spoken in front of congregations, so I'm comfortable holding a room and speaking clearly and confidently in front of an audience — something that translates directly into leading a wedding ceremony with warmth and presence. I've also done pastoral counseling, which gives me real experience helping couples and individuals work through meaningful, sometimes emotional conversations — useful when a couple wants a ceremony that feels personal rather than generic. On top of that, I've hosted and emceed events, so I'm experienced at managing timing, reading a room, and keeping things moving smoothly on the day.
