Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I started out a gas pipe fitter for a company in the foothill, but then learned other areas within the HVAC trade. Years later, I obtained several certificates and licenses to gain in my profession. My area of expertise is installation of air conditioning, heating and ventilation of residential and commercial buildings. I can also work on electrical related to air conditioning, heating and ventilation, however, can help you with some other electrical issues. I tell all customers to get at least three (3) estimates and compare warranty on products. Estimates should be free, however, to get a true estimates on any type of HVAC work it is best to visit the home or business and take notes. To all customers, stay away from over the phone estimates. My installations due take a bit longer, because I do most of work (85%), the other 15% is usually a helper to assist with heavy equipment and materials. I never outsource or hire another contractor. Every since I can remember, I have enjoyed to work with hand, power and pneumatic tools. I love to build and install just about anything, but my area that I love the most is heating, venting and air conditioning. I enjoy the gratification I give families when I finish a project. The one thing about my pricing is that I try my best to work with my price so all types of families can afford heating, venting and air conditioning systems.

Alfred answered my request promptly and was very flexible with our schedule. He was able to come to my house on a Sunday and provide service to our AC unit within 24 hours of contacting him. He was very knowledgeable and also spent time educating us about preventative measures to keep our AC working at it's optimal capacity. Thanks to him, we slept well and cool during a horrible heat wave.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Unfortunately, my pricing is not standard for the following reasons. The my labor is determined on the hours that required to finish a project. The amount of hours are determined the level of difficulty of the project. The price on the equipment is determined by the supply house. I do provide a senior and veteran discount. Unfortunately, I don't have financing at this point.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Since I do have a full time job, I try communicate with a potential customer and find out their availability time to inspect and survey the home where the project is going to be. Once the times have been determined, I go and inspect the home, take many notes and explain to the customer that they will receive a quote within forty-eight hours (48 hrs) of the visit. I will also include many options so that the customer can make a final decision.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

The main type of education I have is "on hands training" by other professionals in the trade. I began my career as a helper, became a leader, had my own crew and then obtained a license (C-20) in the area of HVAC. I am still attending classes offered by IHACI which is the Institute of Heating and Air Conditioning Industries. This organization trains professionals like myself so that new technology can be introduced to us and we can move with the technology. Hence, offering the best available options to our customers. This organization is also responsible for NATE certification which is North American Technician Excellence certificate. This certificate is a way to ensure consumer are dealing with a professional in the field.
