Sergio was very professional and knowledgeable. he came on time and explained everything to me before proceeding. he was there to fix my low water pressure. I was told by my handyman that there were 2 things to fix. my water softener and my house water valve. I told Sergio this, but after looking at everything he said only my house valve needed to be fixed. the water softener was fine. I appreciated his honesty. he finished the job quickly and even did a little extra for free when he noticed a little leak on an outside faucet.
David quoted half what others did, came early, and finished quickly to unclog the main sewage line responsible for clogging the kitchen sink after my failed attempts to plunger and manually run a snake through by hand. He gave me tips on how to keep the lines clear, slicing a lemon wedge in the garbage disposal with no water, then letting sit for at least a half hour to let the natural acids clean, avoiding using harsh chemicals, also to run enough water after finishing the dishes to help push any food particles down the pipes enough to push it out to the main under the street. I finally have a plumber to keep in speed dial. You'll want him in your speed dial too. He really enjoys what he does.
I’m very happy with Northstar. Tommy was very thorough with the initial walk through. He gave me lots of advice on how to be more energy efficient and gave me a really good recommendations of what needs to be done. I brought up the fact that I don’t have a big budget for a replacement and he was able to give me a really good offer. The crew came out and arrive on time and the installation process was really smooth. Overall I am glad I have choose to go with northstar through thumbtack. I would highly recommend tommy to anyone needing heating system repair or maintenance. Thanks Tommy!
Adrian repaired our balcony that had dry rot. This was not an easy job replacing joists and lifting the whole balcony so water can drain off when it rains. He also laid ceramic tile on our 17 X 10 balcony. He and Mark did and excellent job. Very thorough with attention to the smallest detail. Very polite and overall nice guys. We will use Adrian again when we have the need.
2 toilets repaired in less than an hour. He purchased the hardware and made the installation.
Hector made several electrical and plumbing repairs/installations at our home (inside and out), which included rewiring the recessed lights in the ceiling (which were flickering) and related drywall repair as well as repairing a leaking toilet. He also fixed a short in our bathroom light fixture, replaced a sprinkler valve and installed a new shut-off valve on an exterior copper pipe leading to the sprinkler valve. Additionally, Hector kindly offered to replace an electrical outlet and fix loose electrical outlet boxes for only the cost of parts. Hector is respectful and a mild-mannered professional. We have several other home improvement projects in mind and look forward to working with him again in the near future. Honest + Reasonable Prices + Quality Work = Highly Recommended!
I used Acme for some plumbing repairs at one of my rentals. He showed up on time and did good work at a fair price. I will very likely use him again for both plumbing issues and other types of home improvements and repairs.
I had daniel come out and install my water heater he did such a great job that I have him coming back to do a few more things that I need done. The grear thing about daniel is that he can do a lot more then just plumbing and electrical. Thank u daniel our new water heater is working great..
We had our water heater replaced by All Pro Plumbing, Heating, & Air. They did such a great job. We had a lot of water damage from the old one that broke, so we couldnt install it on the platform right away but All Pro made sure we had it hooked up temporarily and off to the side so we could have hot water right away with no delay. Their work is ice and neat and they took their trash with them. Very professional.
This was my first experience using thumbtack. I found it online, filled out a simple questionnaire, and within minutes I had businesses sending me quotes. This business had reasonable pricing and the best reviews. I called them first thing in the morning and they were able to come out same day to fix my water heater. He came exactly at the time he told me he would and was able to get my heater working within minutes. Extremely polite and professional. Can't say enough really. It was a great experience and I will Keep their number handy and refer them as well. Thanks again!
They recommended me this awesome plumber, he took care of my leaky water main, nice clean work and very friendly, he's also bilingual!!
I can’t speak more highly of George. We had an emergency leak and George came immediately on a Sunday at 7am to assess the problem. But before he arrived he stopped by Home Depot and bought some parts that he thought may fix the problem based on our conversation over the phone. Unfortunately, the parts did not solve the issue so he went back to the Home Depot near my house to purchase something more precise now that he has actually seen what the issue was. That didn’t work either so we had to shut off the hot water from the entire house until he could get to a specialty plumbing store the next day which was a Monday. He would’ve gone immediately had the store been open on a Sunday. A couple of hours passed and I noticed water coming out of the tub and called George to notify him. George then comes back to my house immediately to fix the problem. It turns out my plumbing is a bit old and faulty so we had to shut off the main water supply to the entire house as opposed to just the hot water. Monday comes and the no specialty plumbing store had my part as it had to be special ordered from the manufacturer which takes 5 business days for it to arrive. Because of George’s persistence he was able to hunt the part down at a not so nearby plumbing store and come back to the house and saved us. Before knowing all these headaches and running back and forth would transpire George sent me a quote and stuck to it without me asking which is refreshing in comparison to what I have dealt with in the past. Thank you George for your integrity and hard work. I apologize for taking you away from your wife and kid on a Sunday but I am very grateful that you came to our rescue. You will be my go to guy from now on for all my plumbing needs.
For the past three years, our handy man Mike has built, re-built, repaired and/or installed a variety of things in our 50- year-old home and in our rental units. Most recently, when one of our old gates was splintering and falling off its hinges, Mike built a brand new wooden gate for us, saving us the time and money we would have had to spend ordering a custom made resin gate and waiting for delivery. He has also installed a huge flat screen TV on the wall in our den, a new medicine cabinet and a lighted vanity mirror in our master bathroom and a Boscsh double-oven in our kitchen. The new oven was slightly larger than the original one so Mike made the necessary changes in the cabinetry around it to make it fit nicely. In our rental units, he has installed new cabinets and made various repairs as needed. When it comes to fixing things, Mike consistently shows creativity, determination and skill. About two years ago our clothes dryer started making loud noises and the clothes were taking forever to dry. The sounds were similar to some we had heard a few years ago. At that time we had to call out an appliance repair man and a few hundred dollars later, the dryer was working again. This time we figured it was either another high repair bill or just buy a new dryer. We first called Mike though to see if he might be able to fix it. Mike researched the make and model year of our dryer and found the all the specifications and information he needed, including a complete diagram of the inside of our dryer. He then took apart the dryer and found that there were just one or two parts parts causing the problem. He bought the parts, came back and installed them, and put our dryer back together again! The dryer is still working nicely.
I had the pleasure of working with Jones Construction recently. My bathroom had water damage, so I needed drywall replaced, and also a new vanity installed. Kevin was professional and thorough from start to finish. His attention to detail is unmatched. Because of the tight angles in my bathroom it’s hard to get a good picture, but the paint matched perfectly, and The vanity looks beautiful. Kevin checked in with me daily, and advised what that project status was. He finished in a timely manner as well. I highly recommend his services. You will not be disappointed.
Perhaps handyman for the jobs I needed: cleaning out the water heater, adding handles to cabinets, changing out a tall LED bulb, and repairing exterior gates. Thank you so much for your help!
Thank you for the sink repair!! Such a huge help..
Danny is extremely professional and personable. He is experienced in the plumbing profession. He is able to diagnose and repair any plumbing issue that he comes across. We had an issue with a reverse flow sewer valve. Another plumber gave us an estimate to repair this problem for $6000.00. A work associate recommended Danny. He came out, diagnosed and fixed the issue using a motorized "drain snake" for less than a tenth of the quote. Our family uses Danny for all our plumbing needs. We consider him a friend and a person who can be trusted. B. Adam and M. Tomes Upland, CA
Broken water main to house, complex Job Rey worked hard to fix the problem. It took longer then we expected but Rey worked with me on the price. Very happy customer
He was excellent at getting back to me to let me know when he could fit me in and repaired our water heater before the end of the day. Thank you!
I needed a plumber and called my son. He referred me to William. that was 20 years ago. I own and live in a duplex, so my problems were as a landlord and home owner. He has fixed faucets and plugged drains. he has replaced garbage disposals. He has repaired and replaced water heaters. He has added sewer outlets. He has done this and more. I have left the door unlocked so he could repair whatever while I was working because I trust him. I would recommend him for jobs large and small. Sincerely, Reid
Mike had to replace the main shut off water valve to my house in Corona. I called him on New Years Eve and early in the morning. Mike was very responsive, came on time, honest and priced very competitive. He genuinely cares about his customers experience. I will use Mike again in the future and won't hesitate to refer him to friends.
