My wife and I were very pleased with Beverly's professionalism and attention to detail when caring for our two dogs. She is very experienced and also a natural when it comes to animal care. Also really appreciated the photo updates of our dogs while we were away. I highly recommend Beverly and look forward to contacting her again when next we need pet-sitting services.

One word describes Granny's Nanny-AMAZING. I had her house and pet sit for 2.5 weeks and everything was more than taken care of. The animals were very happy with her and my house was cleaned top to bottom while I was out! I highly recommend her for any of your house sitting needs.

Jo has cared for our dogs many times. They love her. She is better than family with them. Recently a very old dog in our family was terminally ill. When she came to feed our dogs, she found the old guy at his end. She wrapped him in his blanket and held him till he was gone. Then she arranged for our gardener to bury the dog on our property. This goes way beyond service; this is love.

About

Shianne, the owner and groomer, is a certified groomer for 15 years. I pride myself on being a gentle groomer whose passion is helping animals in anyway that I can. We also do day care and boarding. Day care is from Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m. On weekends, it is by appointment only because our office is closed. We are small scale when it comes to boarding, as we only take 15 dogs over night because we are a cage-free facility. Each client's dog or dogs go into a suite at night after playing cage-free outside in our dog yard from 8:00 a.m to 5:30 p.m every day. We have many repeat clients because the dogs love coming so much! Dog is our passion. We do have a room devoted to kitties, so they are not left out, and it shows!

About

We are located in Kirkland, WA. We service the surrounding areas, and we offer a free initial consultation as a way of having a meet and greet for our clients. There are a lot of stressful contributions to travel, but finding reliable, quality pet service for your fuzzy family member should not have to be one of them. In a fast paced age where booking your trip is an essence of timing, reliability is everything, but what about last-minute plans or plans pending confirmation? We have very minimal fees compared to other pet sitters here in the Puget Sound area and treat our clients like family. Our rates are as follows: - $18 / (1) 30-minute pet care visit - $35 / (2) 30-minute pet care visits (a.m. and p.m.) Pet care visits include feeding and watering all pets, cleaning litter box, dog walk, watering plants, taking in mail and giving the home a "lived-in" look by rotating lights, blinds and curtains upon request. It also includes lots of play and love! We also offer overnight visits at our home where your pet will have access to over 1/3 of an acre in a park-like setting. Overnight are at the price of $35/per night. Be sure to inquire about additional services like trips to Marymoor off-leash dog park and Bridle Trails!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to hire a house sitter?

House-sitting can be a lifesaver when you’re leaving town for any length of time. Whether you work remotely, you’re taking a much-needed vacation, or you just want to road-trip for a few days, it’s wise to have a pro keep an eye on your house and pets while you’re gone. Your home is more likely to stay safe and you won’t have to wrangle the kitty into a kennel to travel with you. The national average pet-sitting price ranges between $20 and $30. Pet-sitting and house-sitting costs will vary based on where you live in the country and regional labor rates. Another factor in cost is how long you want the house-sitter to stay. Some people prefer to have the house-sitter stay the night at their house, perhaps to care for an elderly pet or simply to keep a watchful eye on the home at all times. Overnight stays will cost more, ranging anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on services provided. For day visits, house-sitting and pet-sitting prices will increase incrementally the longer the visit and the more service you want performed. For example, a quick 10-minute visit to feed and walk the pet and bring in the mail could be $12.50, a 25-minute visit could be $18, a 40-minute visit $25, and a 50-minute visit $32. How much should you pay for a pet sitter?

Pet sitting provides your precious pet with in-home care. A pet-sitter can make a brief visit during the day to provide snacks, playtime or affection, or stay at your house for one or more nights to tend to your pet. Prices for pet-sitting will vary based on length of the visit. Nationally, pet sitting prices range from $20 to $30, although prices run higher for your sitter to stay the night. Prices will also be affected by where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pet-sitting prices based on length of time and region:

  • 30-minute visit: $17 in a small Texas town.
  • 30-minute visit: $25 in Southern California.
    • 45-minute visit: $28.
    • 60-minute visit: $32.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $50 in Texas.
  • Overnight stay (10 hours): $85 in Southern California.
    • 12 hours: $100.
    • 24 hours: $200. This is a good option for a sick, elderly or brand-new pet that needs constant supervision.
