Discuss and scope the work then explain the normal process to the client, and set milestones for each party to reach and get the job done in time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's degree in civil engineering specialized in structural design and analysis. 20 years of experience in the field. I like to discuss with the client the detail of how to do it.
