Introduction: VIRTUAL LESSONS AVAILABLE I have been working as a drummer and instructor for over 10 years. One of my favorite activities is to share my knowledge with people looking to start or expand their drumming skills. I have a studio in North Berkeley that I teach out of, complete with two kits and covid safe practices (clean surfaces, masks, etc.). I have extensive experience from working with students ages 4 to 70 as well as high school marching percussion ensembles. If you are looking to push your skills forward, look no further! Simply put, Michael is the absolute best of the many music teachers I have worked with during my 44 years as a musical learner. He's a great drummer, so he leads by example. He also knows a wide range of styles, has a non-judgmental, compassionate, friendly demeanor that creates ease & comfort and encourages exploration, and is always completely reliable & punctual. I can't recommend him enough.

He is amazing!!! He is one of the best teachers I ever had. Before I start taking drumming lessons, I was thinking that I am not at all talented. But he somehow brings out the best in his students. He is professional, kind, and patient. I would definitely recommend him to everyone who wants to learn playing drums or to improve their drumming skills.
