- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Therapy has come a long way since "tell me about your mother". There is some amazing research being done on the neurology of the brain. This is giving us important answers on how the brain is wired. Did you know that the adrenaline jolt from trauma can damage your DNA? In addition, the field is constantly looking at more effective treatments. For instance, EMDR (Google it!) is a powerful treatment for trauma. I enjoy stay informed about the new developments in the field, and I am constantly taking workshops to learn more!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I help my clients move toward health, healing and growth. In particular, I work with individuals and couples. I see clients ranging from teens to seniors. Some of my specialities and interests include: Trauma and EMDR Gender and Sexual Expression Issues Improving Relationships Self Discovery Serious Illness and Hospice
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If possible, shop around. There are many therapists out there, and we each have our own style. One size does not fit all. That's why I have a no-risk consultation policy.
