Allison Stein is incredibly talented. I originally hired her for doula services, but ended up receiving acupuncture from her as well.
Although I had a great pregnancy, I had passed my guess date, which concerned my doctor, who in turn, recommended that I induce labor. Induction was not in my birth plan, so I called Allison, who suggested that I try acupuncture. I did and the same day she worked on me, I went into labor! Not only was Allison a great acupuncturist, but I had no idea how valuable her doula services would be until I actually went into labor. She came over to my house in the middle of the night, traveled to the hospital and stayed with me until I delivered my baby. My labor was long and difficult an intense few days that threw me curves I wasnt expecting. Through it all, Allison never wavered. She completely understood and respected my birth plan and if it werent for her support, I probably would have made other choices ones that didnt fit into my original plan. Her experience in a hospital setting and her ability to communicate well with the staff was a not only a bonus, but truly invaluable. She was a great mediator between the doctors and myself, alleviating any additional stress and allowing me to concentrate on giving birth.
I highly recommend Allison Stein. She is an amazing doula, acupuncturist and one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
