I am a professional organizer, interior stylist, and interior plant designer.....what I do I call interior design "LITE." I'll have ideas on how to improve upon your home but it's up to you how much you choose to do. My process revolves around the principle of interior styling. This means that your design sensibility and the aesthetics of your space are the primary inspiration for my work. At our initial consultation, we'll discuss your design preferences, your influences, and your vision for your space. I want you to share in the process and look forward to being in that space when the project is complete. Even if the project is organizing your kitchen pantry, I want you to feel that the end result represents your unique style and taste. If the project is a wardrobe or closet, I will find a way to make your most treasured and often used pieces readily accessible and also to bring new life and visibility to pieces you may have forgotten. Interior styling is organization that inspires. Beautifying my surroundings and transforming live/work spaces has always been my passion. My approach to organization is focused on working with items you already own to create clean inspiring spaces. I organize and design for you, the individual client, bearing in mind your sensibilities and tastes. I work quickly and discretely and strive to share with you my joy in the process of transforming your space to relieve unnecessary stress from out of balance elements in you physical space. Prior to creating Design Organized, I worked as a celebrity assistant and as an assistant to agents and directors for many years. Tending to nearly every detail of their lives extended naturally into organizing and styling their living and work spaces. As an organizer and stylist my clients range from Oscar award winning actors to major film studio producers and many in between. I was pretty pleased with my experience with Lisa. She came in initially to help only with my home office, as I was preparing to increase my side business and was going to need to use it as an actual Office space, rather than storage. She in fact helped me with office, kitchen, closets and more. She came up with good re-purposing ideas for most of my existing pieces, and everything that I was holding onto that in fact didn't need to keep, was donated to the woman's shelter in DTLA (which she loaded up her own car with to drop off, and sent me the receipt for tax uses), Goodwill or donated to friends and co-workers (all good stuff, btu I just didn't need it all). She also was clever with how to organize items in groups and used my covered staircase (which I don't use) as a storage solution and put items like camping chairs up on the side walls to free up closet space in the main part of the house. She helped me declutter and rid myself of items that weren't practical anymore. We didn't do every single thing she suggested, as there's a need for compromise on some of the ideas, but I was overall very happy with how she helped me to better my home and items. She's got a tough attitude at times, but that's part of her job. She is there to help declutter your life... so take what she says as constructive, she's doing her job to help. Might be a bit tough to hear at the time, but she does a good job of lessening the CRAP most of us have. Haha! She is fun to talk with and comes up with plans for what you need and need to do once she's finished with the job and has goals set for what you can do on your own once she's gone, which helped me to keep on track and finish at the pace that I was comfortable with, like putting up added shelving in closets (which I needed help from my bf with), getting a more practical trash bin and more.

I had a short-term unpacking project that I needed immediate help with. I had recently emptied a storage space... into my room. Lisa was flexible with her schedule and agreed to meet up over the weekend. Her methods are swift and effective. It was a little tough for me at times given my lackadaisical and nostalgic nature, getting swept away with old stuff coming out of the woodworks. Lisa's disciplined and organized (pun intended) approach was exactly what I needed -- we accomplished so much in just a few hours. Lisa also had many great ideas and recommendations to offer that have inspired continued progress on organizing my space.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Minimum of 4-6 hours depending on location. I kindly request a 24-hour notice of cancellation/rescheduling. ***************************************************************************YOU GET ONE FREE HOUR OF ORGANIZATION FOR EVERY REFERRAL THAT EQUALS TO AT LEAST 5 HOURS OF ORGANIZATION!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If we do a consult (approx 1 hour).......I ask the client to tell me about the area(s) that are problematic. I observe the areas and ask questions. I take pictures and note. I mostly listen so I can make sure I make you happy. I genuinely enjoy coming up with creative solutions to make a process or physical area more efficient, functional, and beautiful.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over six years of experience working in the film industry as an assistant during which I organized almost every detail of my employers personal/professional lives. I was a personal assistant to an A-list actor, administrative assistant to a highly regarded talent agent, and was the director’s assistant on a feature film. I also worked as an executive assistant to an art advisor, having met him through a client who’s home I was organizing. A year later he contacted me to help him organize his business and style his physical office space.
