- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At our initial session, I embark on a comprehensive process to understand your musical journey. We begin by assessing your current skills, identifying your musical inclinations, and collaboratively charting a clear roadmap to achieve your goals and aspirations as a musician. The remainder of our time together is dedicated to hands-on lessons meticulously tailored to your individual needs. It's not just about playing the piano; it's about nurturing your unique musical expression and guiding you towards your dreams in the world of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With a rich educational background and extensive training, I bring over two decades of dedicated piano study to my role as a music educator. My musical journey has taken me to numerous domestic concerts across the United States and international performances, showcasing my passion for the art. I pursued my formal education in music at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, and later achieved a degree in Jazz Piano Performance from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts. Over the past decade, I have been sharing my knowledge and expertise as a professional piano instructor, working with students of diverse ages and skill levels. This multifaceted experience has equipped me with the insights and skills to tailor my teaching approach to the unique needs of each individual, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning experience.
