Joel and Cezar came that very day, gave me a free estimate AFTER they had used the camera to see my entire pipe system! I really appreciated their prompt attention and that they actually EXAMINED my pipes before talking to me about the problem and giving me an estimate for repairs. They were very polite, pesonable and knowledgable. They used the snake to router my line and charged only $69. A technician came back the very next day to hydro-jet my line, which completely cleared it and cost me only $250. Unfortunately, the device that measures the length of the pipe was not working and thus, the technician could not give me an accurate estimate of the cost of repairing the separate parts of my pipe system. He promised to return with a repaired device, measure the length and give me another free estimate. I am awaiting his return and awaiting their bill as they said they would send me an invoice. Except for this waiting, I was very satisfied.
We wanted to put a pull down ladder door into the attic and found Custom Creations on Thumbtack. Scott responded right away and gave us a good estimate. He even came by a few days before the work day to make sure there would be no surprises and he helped us find the perfect place to install the door. The work was done as planned and clean up was great. We will definitely use Custom Creations for future projects.
Sos responded quickly to our request and was very timely scheduling the work. He handled carpet removal in Master Bedroom Suite and Walk-In closet.
Daniel & Mike are great guys! I had contacted several handymen via different app services and none were able to handle my task. I had a martha stewart closet system that required reinforcement into a concrete wall. Daniel & Mike were on it and totally able to accommodate my schedule. They arrived 10 minutes early and got to work right away. I'm very happy with the professional job they have done. They even offered to further reinforce the closet beyond what the instructions indicated. I trust their opinion and will have them do so at our next appointment as I have a bunch more tasks I'd love their help with! The value is GREAT and you probably won't find anywhere else. I am baffled by the unreasonable 1 star reviews. I think they completely misrepresent Mike & Daniel as they were probably written by people who don't understand the value of the work they receive and completely underestimate the time/effort required. An added bonus is that Daniel & Mike are funny guys and talented in other realms. They bring that passion and energy to the task at hand. Go Daniel & Mike!
David and his crew did a fantastic job and far exceeded my expectations! We had some older basement carpeting restretched and it looks close to new and vinyl flooring install in laundry room looks beautiful. I can't believe that I'm excited to do laundry now! :) I would definitely recommend and will use again if the need arises.
Ramon was pleasant and assembled 2 pieces of furniture in a timely manner. He arrived on time/// no negatives at all.
I called James at 8:15 am and he was at my house in 25 minutes! Now that's service! My husband and I needed a carpenter to install two cabinets and a counter top in our laundry room. These items had already been delivered and were sitting in our garage. What seemed like a pretty simple job turned out to be a bit more complicated. It turned out James had to make some modifications which required him to design and build an additional component on the job site. Miraculously, he accomplished this feat, and the finished product is perfection! Our laundry room looks beautiful! We are very fortunate we had James do the work. He is an excellent carpenter, very professional, very articulate, and he takes care of the surrounding areas in the home. We will be calling on him again when we need his services. He is a gem.
I first met Brad Snapir in 2011 when we met to discuss adding a second story onto our house in West Los Angeles which included a master bedroom, large bath, two closets and an additional reading room in back of the bedroom. All in all we added around 900 feet or perhaps a little more. It took us many meetings over almost a year's time before my husband and I were ready and prepared to begin the building process. Throughout this whole time Brad was understanding, patient and excellent at offering suggestions as to our remodel and willing to spend hours and hours meeting with us. We began the remodel in September of 2012 and we were back in the house in March of 2013 which was extremely quick. Needless to say there were questions and problems which arose during the building process but my husband, Brad and I were always able to work out whatever the problem was to everyone's satisfaction. If something had to be altered or changed in any way, Brad did it and did it well. We were very happy with the outcome of the remodel and happily moved back into the house after only 6 months although everyone told us it would be a year at least. Well they were wrong. Brad and his crew did the work quickly and well. If anything was not done exactly as I wanted they fixed it to be the way I wanted. I so appreciated the work that when I decided to remodel my kitchen in 2015 I immediately called Brad for the job. He worked with me in designing what I needed and ordering the necessary appliances, tile and countertops. I absolutely love the kitchen and would change nothing. It is exactly what I had in mind. The one other thing I want to point out about Brad is that over the years I have had several very very small jobs at the house which Brad has been so willing to just send one or two or three of his guys in a most timely manner and get the small job done. This has been a god-send as we all know how difficult it is to get work done on small jobs. I would recommend Brad and his company to anyone who wants a remodel large or small done and done well. Dave Guth construction has done a number of different projects for me. He has built an outdoor basement entrance enclosure, installed outdoor lighting, and has done plumbing work in the bathroom. I was satisfied with all these projects and would recommend him highly.
Thank you Eddie & company for my new bathroom. Couldn't have had a smoother experience. Next up is my basement remodel!!
Scope - replace hallway floors (due to slight flooding/leak); gut reno one of the bathrooms; customize hallway closet(s). Pros: - Contractor was prompt to respond and quick to commence the job - Joe and his team are very professional - Quality of work is good - It is apparent that State Wide has a Subject Matter Expert for every aspect of the reno (different folks for plumbing, carpentry, tiles, flooring). Most likely 3rd parties but pros nonetheless. - flexible payment structure (also accepts CCs) Cons: - Execution was very slow; perhaps Joe's team was focused on bigger projects (it was mentioned on a few occasions) and it was apparent that our reno was not prioritized. - there were items that should have been spec'd out and ordered as to avoid delays (e.g. floor should have been matched on day1, subway tiles etc..). Numerous days were wasted as the team was waiting on the materials - my biggest frustration with the reno was the lack of empathy and accountability. Excuses/justifications were presented instead of just owning up to the significant delay (work was supposed to be executed in 10-14 days max; it took 30 days). It would have been completely fine if the delay was communicated properly instead of us hounding the team. Overall, we are happy with the renovation.
AGA did a room addition for us in our Hollywood Hills home. This project included a bedroom with walk-in closet and full bathroom. AGA construction was a great choice for our room addition. They took our dream and made it into reality. We just had a vision, but with the help of the AGA project managers and architect, we were able to bring that vision into fruition. AGA project managers met with us several times before we signed a contract with them. AGA was willing to meet with us and make sure my husband and I were very comfortable with the project and all the steps that were needed. They answered all the questions we had, gave us expected time frames, suggestions of finishing materials that we should buy with regards to popular styles, quality ranges, and price differences. In terms of actual construction, the project was seamless and flawless. The preparation for the project was really professional. The project did not start until all the materials, vanities, and options were chosen. This allowed the project to be executed in a smooth and clean process with absolutely no hiccups. The job was done in a fast and swift manner, yet quality was not compromised at all. Everything came out evenly and straight, and the finishes were all very sturdy and solid. With the extra square footage AGA built for us, we added a lot of value to our home. We have gotten a lot of compliments and even a few offers to purchase our home. Thank you AGA on a job well done. We are very satisfied with the outcome, and we will continue to use AGA in the future.
Advanced Builders and Contractors renovated my master bathroom, painted two rooms, and redid flooring in the hallways. The crew was respectable and clean but most importantly professional. Each member of the crew that worked on my bathroom was a master in their own domain, even down to the tile-placer. I was a bit worried about the strange layout in my bathroom, but they custom-made a vanity that fit the spot perfectly. Their attention to detail was very impressive. I was very impressed with their service and their commitment to satisfy me. It is clear that they care most about maintaining a long term relationship with their clients. I am very pleased with their quality of work and I am meeting with them again Monday to discuss renovating my kitchen.
We called Brent because termites had eaten away many sections of our window moldings and areas around our roof, and we needed these boards replaced ASAP because we were painting the house. Brent responded to our request immediately, and within two hours was at our house. Less than an hour after viewing our project, he texted me a detailed estimate. We hired him, and he began work the same afternoon! He worked consistently and professionally, stopping only when the sun went down. His workmanship is superior, and he was able to offer us various options to accommodate our budget. Brent's prices are competitive, and his work and work ethic are superior. We will definitely contact him again for other projects!
I just bought a 1940's house with an unfinished basement. I really wanted to transform the space into a guest bedroom with a connected laundry room. My friend recommended Bright Builders. When I called them, I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Michael showed up on time, was very knowledgeable, and was able to answer all of my questions. He gave me a written bid with all the details broken down to different trades so that I understood the scope of work. He was also very clear with me about the timeline and what to expect. Once we started work, Michael was coming to the house almost every day. Half way through the project, he had an idea for how to better use the space but it required a little bit more money. He didn’t do anything until I agreed. Ultimately, I’m very glad I took his advice because it made the room more open and spacious.
First off let me say that I am sceptical when it comes to Contractors you never know who or what you're going to get and of what quality. The above being said, a friend of mine used True Building on her basement and recomended I try them out. I did and they did an incredible job. My deck looks beautiful. The attention to detail and customer service was what I had been loking for and that is what i recieved from True Building, thanks Raleigh. M.A.
Shane did an awesome job on my bathrooms! I was really happy with the quality of his work and he did exactly what I asked for. I liked the fact that there was no hidden fees, and that the price he quoted me was exact. He was fast in replying to me and got the job completed on time! We love our new bathrooms. I will be recommending him to any friends or family that are looking for some quick and beautiful renovations!
Brian is the best handy man I've ever had. He is reliable, responsible, professional, friendly, courteous and extremely hard working and dedicated to his craft! I've had Brian work on many areas of my home and business properties, from re-finishing my pool deck to sanding door frames, crafting wooden shelves for my guest bedroom, counters for my kitchen and unclogging and fixing pipes in my basement, bathroom and outdoor shower system. Whatever the job is, Brian always gets it done in a timely manner, his workmanship is exquisite, and he always finishes the job with a smile on his face! I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have work done on/in their homes, offices, businesses or event spaces. I can say with great certainty that you won't find anyone better than Brian Vandenberg!
