New service: Free video chats to get an analysis of your tank!
I enjoy working on aquariums, fish, reptiles, ponds, and serving the community. I’m always learning how to do better. Even today I learned something new from my customers. I am currently based in Cupertino temporarily.
Service packages are necessary for getting off on the right foot and keeping your aquarium in good health. It is an investment that will get your aquarium into a stable place. Stability is the key for a great aquarium.
Cleaning by cleaning, I will charge per hourly based on the area including travel times to and from your location to my location in Cupertino starting in January 2026. I am willing to do an introductory cleaning or assessment for free. Saltwater tanks will have higher rates for service than freshwater.
Saltwater tanks require a one time $61.10 salt fee. Prepaid cleaning packages for six include 3.5% off and 10% off for 12 cleanings.
Currently, I am only working 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Any jobs after 5pm, I charge extra and also for Saturdays and emergencies.
My guarantee of work is that I will provide credit for any mistakes or misjudgment regarding fish or equipment. I want to do things right and get them right. Credit can be issued to provide fish or supplies. Thumbtack also offers a program to help provide reimbursement if you are not satisfied.
The average investment cost for a freshwater aquarium system is $1500 plus or minus and for a saltwater aquarium system it is $2500 plus or minus depending on various factors.
Tips: Please replace carbon monthly and clean canister filters so they don't get clogged. Never clean filters under tap water. Use only conditioned water, ROI, or tank water.
Feeding once a week or less.
Chemipure is a great product that I found that works well to help keep all tanks healthy. It lasts longer than the monthly carbon.
Keep the temperature at least 75F for most tropical fish. And big water changes can be harmful. Be careful.
Acclimate your fish to a safe temperature (around 75-79F) during introduction into a tank. Take your time and don’t rush the process.
Thank you!
