- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? While I do have a minimum to perform, there are a couple of factors, time and distance. I have my own full professional sound system, mics, stands and soundboard which factors into my minimum. If you work with a rider and have sound there may be exceptions to the minimum, every performance and situation is unique :-) and that's what makes it exciting!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Since most of my bookings come from people who have seen me perform or have received a referral from a business card, I usually find out where the event will be, the time and music needed. I have my own performance contracts and if it is a corporate account, I have W-9 and invoicing ready to serve. Because I do rely upon my bookings as my profession, I do require a "good faith" deposit for new clients (usually $75 to hold my calendar). I never do more than one show per day, to ensure to you, my valued client, that there will be nothing but 110% from me and I'll not be late now will I leave early!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Music Recording minor, University of Southern California (I graduated in 1993), before then I was the first female Drum Major (not a majorette, I lead and was trained in conducting, tuning and leading) for my High School, and only the second Underclassman at the time. I have been considered for 3 GRAMMY Awards (2017), Top 10 KCRA A-List, several SAMMY Award nominations and other awards. GigMasters Best Entertainer of the Year Award in 2012, I have performed for so many kinds of audiences, in many kinds of situations, bands and solo since starting back to music in 2008. Most of my training is "on the job."
