I am a retired Music Teacher that wants to learn guitar. I had a lesson with Seth Greenberg and was very pleased with how it went. He is knowledgable, patient, and instills confidence in his students. He emphasizes good technique and accurate rhythm. I know that he is a good fit for me. Our personalities seemed to gel quickly and I am looking forward to many more lessons.Dec 14, 2019Verified
Guitar Lessons (for adults)
I had never taken any guitar lessons before contacting Seth and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by what I was able to learn in such a short amount of time. Seth offers a free initial lesson and from there assessed my skill level and went from there. So I always felt like my time was being used efficiently because I was instantly building off of what I already knew. Seth would also ask me exactly what I wanted to learn and then go about teaching me that. As someone who learned most of what i already knew from youtube or books I must say it is greatly beneficial to have someone like Seth to sit down with and ask questions. I look forward to working with Seth in the future to get my guitar playing to where I think it could be. I would definitely recommend Seth to people of all skill levels.Jun 1, 2016Verified
I found Dr. Seth on Yelp after trying to take guitar lessons with friends (spoiler alert: it wasn’t a good idea to take a lesson with friends). Dr. Seth is a very patient and kind teacher. I like how he really emphasizes the importance of knowing your fretboard. Most guitar teachers will just teach you the shapes - Dr. Seth teaches you music theory and all the notes on your fretboard. He’s very good at assessing your skill level and needs as a guitar player. I felt very comfortable with Seth as my teacher and I highly recommend to guitar players at any skill level.Dec 5, 2019
Dr. Seth Greenberg was exactly who we were looking for when searching for a knowledge guitar teacher. Our daughter has been taking guitar lessons from him for about a year and a half and has learned so much. Seth is very knowledgeable in many different types of music and kept our daughter interested and engaged. We choose to have her focus be on learning classical guitar and Seth made it both challenging and fun. He was able to incorporate her favorite pop music and teach her how to play it classically. She was able to learn more then just basic chords but the fundamentals of how to read music and picking each note. I can't recommend Seth enough as a wonderful music instructor!May 10, 2019
I have been taking guitar lessons with Dr. Seth G. online, for about two years. Seth is a great teacher, experienced guitar player, educated at the highest level, author of several books of highest quality and depth on music for guitar, on music in general, and about other musicians. Seth's online one on one lessons are a delight. Seth is a rare find of an educator of such caliber, dedication and focus on the fundamentals of music, its structure, performance on the guitar and understanding the learning process everyone has to go through to acquire and internalize new knowledge, skills, perceptions. Seth always engages with a positive and encouraging attitude. Even when I lack confidence or quality in demonstration of the material covered, possibly multiple times in the past, Seth provides sound feedback, rational, calm, inspiring, encouraging, helpful. Excited to have connected with Seth as my instructor, I have learned a lot, and I am confident Seth can provide even more as I put in time and energy in learning about music in general and guitar in particular.May 10, 2019
