Ricardo and his team were really awesome to work with and we really couldn’t have been happier with the result.
We had a pretty decent size project (around 80-90k) and bunch of retaining walls that needed to pour and a 1500sqft driveway to be replaced.
We got a number of quotes all in a similar range but Ricardo stood out from the rest in how he communicates and how he set expectations.
We are super happy with the result and are going to have him and his team back to do planting and irrigation.

It was a pleasure to work with Ricardo and his team. Unlike some other gardeners I've worked with, RR had a lot of helpful suggestions and a sense of aesthetic design. But on top of that RR worked very hard, and quickly, and created a great product. Ricardo was upfront about cost with estimates which I found helpful and fair. Ricardo and his workers have really good work ethic and appear to enjoy the work and working with each other, which is probably why they are so efficient.
We have a steep backyard slope that is very wide and takes up half of our large property. RR turned the slope into large wide and deep terraces with wooden retaining walls, and a french drainage system. This created a lot more usable flat area for replanting our property and creating a hangout space. Since I was so impressed with their speed and work quality, I kept adding on other things for RR to tackle in our garden. RR installed about 250 ft of retaining walls, roto-tilled our new terraces full of hard clay with soil amendments, replaced a section of our fence, replaced a redwood fence and gate, removed part of our concrete patio, and built stairs and a ramp all the way up our new terraces.
RR also procured difficult to locate plants for us, and made helpful recommendations for material suppliers for our DIY projects. We will definitely invite Ricardo and his team back for more projects.

Rick and crew did a great job on my back yard that, other than a patio and some concrete walkway areas and some concrete on the side of the garage, was mostly dirt and weeds after gophers and weeds destroyed the previous lawns 3 times. During the drought, I did not do anything with the yard. I wanted it to be changed to a minimal maintenance and water usage design, and after discussing my initial ideas with Rick, he offered some better suggestions that I went with.
To be more complete in the review, Rick was pretty busy with his existing jobs, and it took a while to get the quote and get on his schedule. He will put all his attention and focus on his existing customers first, which is fair. Just be patient if you want to hire him as he and his crew do good work.
Once I got on the schedule, he called me 4 days before he was scheduled to start, and due to rain affecting a different job, he was able to start the job and finish it before the scheduled date and in a day less than the estimated time, by adding a few extra crew to get it done. The crew all arrived on time and got to it to finish the job pretty quickly.
I got a few quotes for the work, and his was not the lowest or highest, but I had confidence I made the right choice for the project and what I had in mind to get done. Thanks Rick and crew.

Am looking for someone who can do my retaining wall . I found Ricardo in thumbtack . Very happy on the result . Am so surprise when 7 peoples came in to do this small project. Very overwhelming no complaints , Ricardo educate me step by step how the retaining wall and drainage supposed to be installed.
