Introduction: Owner and Lead Teacher, Jenica has a strong teaching background along with a passion for traveling. She started MET in 2008 as an online English teacher and has expanded the company to include Homestays, Summer and Winter English Programs, and Guesthouses. She has an MA in Adult Education, a BA in Political Science, is CBEST certified, and has been a substitute teacher in 4 different school districts along with 3 years of private tutoring. She has also taught English in Japan and Taiwan. We offer five types of online English lessons: Writing, Academic, Business, General, and Conversation. Writing lessons are geared for those learners who need assistance with their writing abilities. This includes: school essays, college admission letters, work documents, personal emails, and any other English writing skills that need enhancement. (Note: We do not write your papers for you. We teach you how to develop your own skills and be competitive with fluent English speakers.) Academic English Lessons Academic English is geared for students or adults who need to pass an exam. These lessons are perfect for those who would like to raise their score in TOEIC, EIKEN, OPIC, TOEFL, IELTS or any other English proficiency exam. We have recently added our new SAT prep lessons as well. These lessons are intense and move quickly; so, it is suggested that you allow yourself several hours each week to fully prepare for these exams. Business English Lessons Business English is perfect for those who are trying to improve their English in the working environment. For these lessons, we generally use Profile and Intelligent Business textbooks. Students are also encouraged to bring their work material to our lessons. General English Lessons General English is great for those students who want to develop basic English ability for school, work, or travel. If your intention is to come to the United States and study, then it is suggested that you enroll in the General English lessons. There are several different levels for general English and you will be assessed during our first free 10 minute lesson. For these lessons, we use Touchstone textbooks and various other supplemental materials. Conversation English Lessons Conversation English is a fun and casual lesson for anyone who wants to learn to speak English. We choose topics like health, school, current events, or shopping. These lessons are great for EVERYONE! Each online English lesson is 55 minutes long. Textbooks and materials are not included in the price.
