- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every year, we Mortgage Brokers are required to pass eight hours of continuing education. Every four years, we Real Estate Brokers are required to pass forty eight hours of continuing education. In between, I take as many classes and workshops as I can to hone my knowledge and understanding of these two very different, yet intertwined industries.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?They say my industry is a fraternity of enemies. Understanding that notion, I feel most blessed that I had the opportunity to learn from a broker who was genuinely looking out for my best interests. My mother founded our family-run brokerage. And through her dedication and tutelage, I was able to learn from the absolute best. She taught me all she knew. Therefore, it was only natural for me to jump, head-first, into Real Estate.
- What types of customers have you worked with?The most common types of transactions I work with today are listing distressed properties, listing standard (equity) sales, representing buyers throughout all Southern California counties, and to turn around and manage those properties purchased for investments.
