About
I’ve been teaching students of all ages for over 10 years, and I truly believe music is about freedom. Everyone has a unique voice, and honing that in a healthy way, in a judgment-free zone, can lead to many amazing discoveries!
Boston Conservatory at Berklee graduate with extensive training in voice, piano, and flute. I like to work with a range of levels—from beginners to artists developing albums or EPs— I enjoy maintaining a diverse, well-rounded studio.
I typically travel to clients for lessons. Availability begins now! Reach out to get started!
Rates:
45-minute private lesson — $120
1-hour intensive/session — $200
1hr intensive notes: Reserved for multi-instrument study (such as 30 min piano + 30 min voice or flute), vocal + songwriting coaching, session coaching, or an extended format combining technique + repertoire.
New to Costa Mesa, outside from film-scoring, recording my solo album, and creating and running a fabulous summer performing arts program at LyriQ Music School in Chicago, you can always find me practicing with my best friend and pup Kai!
I used Thumbtack until about 2024 and then I just began filling my studio from word of mouth. Using this platform again while I transition to living in California to build up my studio.

Lauren is such an amazing teacher to my daughter Anna. As a very skilled and passionate pianist, she is able to share her talent in a beautiful way. She is so patient with Anna and creates a drive for her to want to keep learning piano. Lauren has fun and creative ways to reward the kids for consistently practicing. Anna is always excited to see Lauren and show off what she has worked on at home to get her fun colored stars!

I've have a number of voice teachers throughout my life, but Lauren is by far one of the best I've had. She has been incredibly helpful getting by voice back to strength as well as providing tremendous guidance and feedback through my work as a recording artist. I would highly recommend Lauren as a voice teacher.

Lauren is extremely talented and is over qualified to be a teacher. If you want the best of the best… schedule time with Lauren. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory of Music with a masters in multiple instruments. Whoever gets to learn from her is getting a true musical lesson.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private music education is an investment in your child's cognitive development, time-management, and creative mindset. My rates reflect extensive professional teaching experience, a proven track record of accelerated student success, and a highly tailored curriculum designed for rapid advancement. When you book a session, you are securing premium, conservatory-level instruction delivered directly to your doorstep! While also saving you valuable time in afternoon traffic.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First lesson is more of an assessment, we’ll warm up and I’ll get a feel for where your strengths are and where there might be some gaps or bridges we can build and we’ll chat about your goals and things you’re working toward and come up with a plan over the next few lessons of how to achieve those goals over time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelors in Music from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I advanced my mastery across opera, art song, and contemporary genres alongside intensive training in acting, dance, and music production. My foundational woodwind pedagogy was forged under the direct tutelage of Sharon Sparrow—a Juilliard graduate and the long-standing tenured Assistant Principal Flutist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for nearly three decades.
