Taka's Japanese Catering is the BEST of the BEST I have ever dealt with. I ordered corporate Bento Box drop-off for my very important recording session since I had choir recordings session for the group of 30 in the evening, and I asked "Not too deep Japanese traditional, but more common and something popular items that everyone love". Taka made perfect Bento box with very reasonable price. To me, the Bento box is not only about he taste, it also should be LOOKS GOOD. Taka's Bento Box was the art. It was like looking at the canvas. Every single person who saw the Bento Box that Taka brought, the said "wow, that looks so delicious !!". Then, they open the box and said, "wow, this smells so good, too." Each single Bento Box was perfectly decorated, looks just like the picture that you see on the magazine.
I asked to include Teriyaki Chicken and Salmon, Chirashi-sushi, Spicy edamame, and potato salad. Those are the most popular Japanese food items in the US, and Taka's obviously 5 star taste. Also he included some special desert which was his special brownies. It was so easy to bite whole piece, and tasted perfect !!
The other amazing thing was, how professional he is. He left beautiful post card and business card for everyone. He has confident for what he does. And everyone who had his Bento Box said "he is the one who's coming to my private party's catering".
I strongly recommend him for any kind of events. This guy can cook super high-end Japanese, and knows all other international flavors to make everyone happy. I can tell he can cook Italian, French, all Asian food, traditional to modern.
Please forget about any catering you ever had. After having Taka's catering, I was knocked out and never ordered to any other place. Tasting is believing !!

My friends and I had a cooking lesson. Taka is a great instructor. He came to my house for a basic lesson plan and we all felt very comfortable learning from him. He is very knowledgeable and super patient with us especially with me. I got all his attention. (I had zero experience in the kitchen :p). Now I feel like I can pull some simple dishes together!
We all enjoyed his cooking lesson which is highly recommended!!

Chef Taka is hospitable, funny, patient,and knowledgeable.
He is very good at getting people involved in the processes and making sure they understand them.
Taka's cooking class is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves cooking or is looking to learn the basics.

Taka created an amazing New Year's Celebration Feast for our group of 12. We knew he was the right person for the job based on his responsiveness and thoughtful questions and suggestions. When he and his wonderful assistant (and wife) arrived at our home, we knew that we would be in for a special treat. They were highly professional, well-prepared and gracious.
The food lovingly prepared, plated and served was a remarkable experience for us as hosts and our 10 guests. It was a real gift to be able to enjoy the company of our friends and family while Taka made sure that every detail was pure perfection.
Taka suggested a menu that was exciting, fresh and incredibly delicious. You should trust Taka to create something wonderful based on his inspiration and available ingredients - you will not be disappointed.
The four-course dinner with the wine pairings suggested by Taka created unforgettable moments that we will never forget. Taka expertly combines flavors and ingredients to create an exciting fusion of East-West creations. At the end of this amazing experience, we found our kitchen sparkling clean, with every trace of the cooking gone....with the exception of precious tasty leftovers in the refrigerator. The 12 people that experienced Taka's culinary delights will remember the smell, sight and taste of this meal for a long time to come.

Taka gave us the 5 star treatment from start to finish. We had such an amazing experience! He catered a business meeting lunch for a very diverse group of clients and managed to please everyone in attendance. We had 12 guests with a family style lunch, Taka made it feel more like a one on one coarse after coarse exeperience. That's exactly what it was not just a meal but an experience.
He dazzled us with exquisitely prepared dishes of lobster, sushi, oysters, sashimi, tempura and more. Perfectly timed to when our guests were ready for the next coarse. It was like watching Master Chef... Simply amazing. Will book with him again. We adored having Taka and his polite friendly staff.
