Great work assembling our fitness equipment. We will hire them again the next time we have equipment to assembly. Thanks!!
True professional. Showed up on time. Equipment top notch. Very courteous. Installed the Garbage disposal and left it cleaner than when he showed up. Then I had another project that I showed him and he did in perfect and fast. I will 100% use Amin again. Please doing business with you my friend.
Ron put together a Gorilla play set in our yard - swings, tower, rock climbing wall, rope ladder and slide. He and his helper did a fabulous job! He laid out the parts carefully, evaluated the area in the yard where we wanted to put the play set, and worked all day to put our play set together perfectly! Oh and did I mention they completed the job in one day?! I highly recommend Ron for any assembly needs you have.
Houman was very responsive and helpful - he stopped by in the early afternoon to assess our set up and needs, and came back in the late afternoon to do the installation once I got the right equipment. Clean and professional. Would definitely recommend!
Roger came out and built our outdoor play set and also a gazebo from Costco. He is the nicest guy ever! Goes above and beyond and his prices blew other people out of the water. We are so thankful
Tony was very quick to answer everything and got the job done well and quickly for a good price. I will use his team again.
Jerome installed some U-Line industrial shelving units for me in an equipment garage. Jerome was very knowledgeable about the product and had everything properly installed in less than an hour. He's very skilled, knowledgeable, and personable. Would highly recommend for any handyman/installation projects.
I am very pleased with the work of Kevin Baer. He was great with communication-prompt-friendly, but most of all he was a perfectionist. He assembled a piece of exercise equipment for me. I will definitely be hiring him again in the future.
American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.
I hired Michael to assemble a trampoline. He did a great job at a very good price. I would recommend him to friends and will certainly use his services again when I need to put together furniture or outdoor equipment. Highly recommended.
Turn Key Remodel recently completed a major remodel of our living areas - Kitchen, Family Room, Living Room, Entry Hall as well as our entire hallway (the whole project covered 70% of the floor space in our house). It was the first such major remodel that we had ever done in 35 years of marriage, so there “should have been” a lot of uncertainty…but not with Mark Apicella and Turn Key Remodel on the job. The success started with good communication and a highly trustworthy approach by Mark. The entire team that worked on the project was very professional and also really efficient, so things moved as fast as possible. All of the workers were extremely careful to accommodate our family and be as flexible as possible as we continued to live in the house throughout the project – they all seemed to become part of the family! The quality of the work they have done is extraordinary and it was only matched with the degree of diligence they provided to ensure that every detail was successfully handled, both during the on-going project and all the way to the completion of every single detail at the completion of the project. Another key part of Mark’s Turn Key Remodel extended team, Anne Roberts, President of Drayton Designs, played an integral role in the success of the project by providing us with outstanding design ideas and hand-holding through a series of key decisions that would have proven really difficult without her expert assistance. When comparing the work done by Mark’s team – and the name Turn Key really applies, as they do everything we could have possibly needed – the level of quality and the positive experience we have had are unparalleled by comparison with others who have worked at our house. We cannot recommend Mark and Turn Key Remodel any more highly. Jeff and Laura Black - Yorba Linda, CA
AGA did a room addition for us in our Hollywood Hills home. This project included a bedroom with walk-in closet and full bathroom. AGA construction was a great choice for our room addition. They took our dream and made it into reality. We just had a vision, but with the help of the AGA project managers and architect, we were able to bring that vision into fruition. AGA project managers met with us several times before we signed a contract with them. AGA was willing to meet with us and make sure my husband and I were very comfortable with the project and all the steps that were needed. They answered all the questions we had, gave us expected time frames, suggestions of finishing materials that we should buy with regards to popular styles, quality ranges, and price differences. In terms of actual construction, the project was seamless and flawless. The preparation for the project was really professional. The project did not start until all the materials, vanities, and options were chosen. This allowed the project to be executed in a smooth and clean process with absolutely no hiccups. The job was done in a fast and swift manner, yet quality was not compromised at all. Everything came out evenly and straight, and the finishes were all very sturdy and solid. With the extra square footage AGA built for us, we added a lot of value to our home. We have gotten a lot of compliments and even a few offers to purchase our home. Thank you AGA on a job well done. We are very satisfied with the outcome, and we will continue to use AGA in the future.
We used Daniel and DKS Cleaning Service when we moved out of our 3 bedroom house rental in Costa Mesa. First of all, Daniel communicated promptly from the start of our contact on Thumbtack. His quote was fair and about the same as the other three I received. Daniel called when he was on the way to our house on the day of our appointment, showed up on time, and brought a crew of two ladies that did an awesome job cleaning the house. Daniel's company also provides carpet cleaning and he charged such a fair price to clean all the carpet in our home that we had him also clean two big area rugs that we had in the garage. He uses all commercial grade equipment and chemicals and has many years experience in both the home cleaning and carpet cleaning industries. One last thing to add, this was a very stressful day/week for me and my husband as our family was moving out of a 3 bedroom 1600 sq foot home rental that we lived in for 5 years into our new home we purchased. Daniel and his crew were super nice, understanding, upbeat and let me know from the start that I was I good hands. I highly recommend this cleaning service and will probably hire them for twice monthly cleaning of my new home. Thanks again for making a stressful day so much easier.
Ive known Kevin for many years. He has always been a conscientious, hard working, and honest individual. He remodeled my home not long ago, inside and out, and saved me not only a considerable amount of money, but the quality of the remodel is amazing. Im still getting compliments on it. The best part was how we worked together designing the remodel so I ended up getting exactly what I wanted as well as everything being very comfortable and convenient. I had one of those popcorn type ceilings and he removed all of that. Now I have beautifully smooth and painted ceilings in every room. When I brought the house there was a hole in the living room ceiling. Kevin found and repaired a water leak from the upstairs bath that had caused it. Everything needed replacing in each bathroom. He tore it all out - walls, plumbing, floors, fixtures, bath tub, shower, cupboards, drawers, everything. He helped me with ideas on where I could find new fixtures, etc. for the bathrooms and went with me to give me his input and help me transport the items back home. The electrical wiring was old so he rewired the whole place as well as hiding TV cables that the installers had just left hanging in plain view. He installed new lighting throughout so I have plenty now when I need it, and ceiling fans too. I mentioned I didnt have enough storage space and before I knew it Kevin had located extra room below the staircase and in the space above the staircase upstairs. He made a door and installed it in the wall below the stairs, and he took out part of a wall above the stairs and inside a closet and added shelves. I now have two new storage areas. He also laid my wonderful new tile floors in the kitchen, hall way, and bathrooms. He built the entire patio from scratch. I needed cupboards on the patio to hold gardening equipment so he designed and built those and attached them to the wall of the house. They are up off the ground and very convenient. Kevin installed a new patio roof, and he installed a sprinkler system as well I really love that! We designed the patio layout together. Kevin had great ideas on how to build the large planter section. The flowers and plants are thriving, and Im really enjoying the dwarf blood orange tree he encouraged me to buy. Some neighbors and friends have asked for Kevins contact information and they are very pleased with his help with their household problems. He enjoys nothing better than to help people. No task is too small or too large. He is a knowledgeable and multi-talented handyman. He is very kind coming back periodically to maintain my property. I dont know what I would do without his help.
Lisa has done a lot of work for me and I have always been very pleased. She is a hard worker and a good crafts person and ver honest. Lisa has redone the hardwood floors in two rooms, she painted the interior of my entire house, she patched up my bathroom ceiling, she worked on my chimney, she reinforced the walls of my very old garage, she rehung my front door after fixing the off kilter door frame, and a million other things around the house. While all those jobs were very important the coolest job she did was build a huge wood jungle gym for my son. He plays on it almost every day.
