FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For larger projects, like full production for an EP or a full-length, I offer my clients flat-project rates. Based on the needs of the project, production goals, timeline, and desired budget, I work with the artist to come up with a number that's fair and that both parties feel good about. I work with artists with a wide range of budgets, reach out and start a conversation if you're interested in working with me. For hourly work, like for a vocal tracking session, I charge an hourly rate starting at $30/hr.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll typically look to book a complimentary studio tour and a consultation session with the new customer. This will give the artist and me and opportunity to talk about the project and decide if I'd be a good fit for the project. From there we can negotiate rates and begin to build a production plan. For hourly work I ask to schedule a phone call to discuss the project before booking.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a lifelong musician and producer who's learned on site and by working on countless albums across all genres. I got my start engineering at my college's radio station in Boston, MA. I've toured nationally as a drummer, I front my own band in LA, and I work part-time at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood running FOH.
