The original problem was with a mouse dying in a duct. David and Ryan from Healthy Duct Cleaning responded first, and after 6 estimates with various approaches to solving the problem(s), Healthy Duct Cleaning offered a solution that seemed to most closely address my problem. I can’t really compare cost since everyone offered slightly different approaches including combinations of duct cleaning, rodent proofing, duct replacement (some, requiring drywall work), furnace replacement, and replacement of insulation in the attic. Overall I had a good idea where the mice entered the house, and one contractor assured me it was from the other side of the house. Another didn’t listen and told me they most likely entered through the roof. Some contractors seemed interested in solving a problem I didn’t have. Generally, I needed to rodent proof my house, clean and sanitize the ducts, and to either clean or replace the 24 year old furnace that I never maintained in the 9 years I lived here. Eventually I need to replace a section of ductwork that must have been compromised. I chose to replace the furnace and have the ducts cleaned, and to work on rodent proofing the house myself, using advice online. David seemed the most knowledgeable and upfront. He and Ryan are just all around good guys and very easy to work with. After some research, I decided to go with the Carrier Precision. Mario and Jorge installed the furnace on Tuesday 4/23/19. They were both amazing. I had no idea how much work it would take to replace a furnace. They worked for over 8 hours. They were both extremely nice and polite, and such hard workers. Very nice job. They worked so late, we needed to postpone the duct cleaning for Thursday 4/25. David and Ryan took care of the duct cleaning, and I have already ordered a filter David recommended, that will last forever with routine cleanings. Mouse smell is completely gone, and the furnace is so much quieter! You can’t even hear it start. The house heats up way faster than it did before. I haven’t received a PG&E bill yet, so can’t comment on the energy savings. This is a slightly bigger, high efficiency, 2 stage furnace. The previous furnace was undersized. I have been proactive with mouse proofing. So, that’s my responsibility for now. I highly recommend Healthy Duct Cleaning and intend to work with them for my future furnace-related maintenance.

Very nice lady to work out with ,she understands our situation and send us right a way David the technician that live 5 minutes from my house . We have rats in the heating system and I contact healthy ducts by phone to get help ,they will arrive soon hope they will clean all . I will update my review when they done with the work .

Overall decent job. They arrived on time for the inspection, explained clearly what needs to be done, and gave a fair quote. I did spend more time than expected to set up the actual duct replacement work and had to reschedule once. But after the replacement the ducts work decent so far.

Great experience with Healthy Duct Services (HDS). They came out the very next day to provide a free estimate for their service when other companies charged for estimates on top of the actual work and had month-long lead times just for the estimates. I had all my HVAC ducts replaced in the crawlspace. Some ducts were very old and had asbestos insulation that had to be fully removed. HDS took charge of the entire situation. They brought in an Asbestos removal company for abatement, installed the ducts, scheduled a HERS test and got the permits for the work. They even cleaned the furnace blower unit. The work was very high quality and I'm very happy that I was able to get it done quickly before the winter season started. I would recommend HDS to everyone and would certainly call them again if I need any HVAC services. Excellent communication throughout the process and very courteous staff.

Air Duct Cleaning: Step 1 Call our office or contact us online using contact forms on our website to schedule our services. Air Duct Cleaning: Step 2 Our professionals will arrive at your home by the due date and time and prepare the strongest professional devices including their industrial strength cleaning machine to clear your air ducts of all dust, debris, home pet dander, allergens, and grime. Air Duct Cleaning: Step 3 The crew members will prepare your residence for service by covering floor surfaces with protective cloths and properly seals a return air vent before cleaning. It will maximize the air movement in the air ducts and help to remove dirt. Air Duct Cleaning: Step 4 Our technicians will connect a powerful vacuum machine to the main trunk line and collect all contaminants, which are dislodged during vacuuming process. This professional equipment with high pressure air is utilized to dislodge the dirt and debris and to ensure that the vacuum cleaner is removing it into the containment camera. Technicians insert the compressed air hose with an air whip which loosens dirt from the duct side panels and forces the dust and dirt to the vacuum machine.
