We have a great experience with Elite home tutoring, especially our teacher Anena, she learnt our need and personalize the teaching for my son's personal interest, it's a great idea and it works very well.
Professional, on time. John is tutoring my 10 year old son in math, specifically, common core math. John is very patient which is what my son needs. I try to help him but I lose my patience which frustrates both of us. I am glad John is able to help and I hope my son will improve his math skills. John has tutored Christopher twice only so I hope this review is helpful. So far, I would recommend John.
I must say I am extremely happy with the quality of service from Arbor Tutors from the first phone call through the tutoring sessions. We were given our choice between a couple of different tutors. High quality.
I’m currently attending my first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and undoubtedly attribute much of my knowledge that has helped me succeed thus far in college to my tutoring sessions with David! When I was a senior in highschool, I spent so much time stressing over my SAT/ACT. I knew the EXACT score I needed to get into the schools I wanted to attend and was very adamant with David about achieving them. He was the most helpful, most kind, and DEFINITELY most intelligent instructor I have ever encountered. In fact, he was so extroidinary that when I got my scores back, I had received the EXACT score I told him I wanted to strive for. Now, I recommend all of my younger friends to David! I promise you that you will not regret investing your time with him. Best. tutor. ever. xo, Rachel G.
Tim was a great teacher for me! He was easy to talk to,understood my questions, and helped me improve my weak points. After working with him for a few months, I was able to understand a lot of the material provided in the SAT test and improve a lot on my practice test. Overall, Tim is a great teacher for learning how to improve your English , especially to prepare for SAT test.
Nicholas's skill, patience, positivity and kindness have already helped our Son regain confidence and enjoy math again. We look forward to ongoing tutoring with Mathman!
Got a tutoring package for my two kids and we have been extremely happy
Josh was an awesome SAT tutor for my son, increasing his scores 110 points in just a few weeks of tutoring. Prior to Josh, my son was enrolled in a commercial SAT prep course: 3 hours on Friday evenings and six hours on Saturdays along with 11 other students. My son did not respond well to the group setting. These sessions could not hold his attention, and it became a weekly battle to get him to go. After a few weeks, he quit the course and decided that individual tutoring would be a better option. Joshs style of personalized attention offered my son the back and forth interaction he needed to maintain interest and motivation. He had a great depth of knowledge (Yale graduate), as well as a warm and personal demeanor. He took the time to understand my sons individual style of learning and identified the areas with which he needed more assistance. In summary, my son benefitted greatly from Joshs talents, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing one-on-one and personalized attention.
Jeriah Kiang is an excellent tutor. He definitely helped me with not only my school grades, but my ACT grades (even though I was just in 8th grade). He is super easy to interact with and also makes the tutoring session fun. He a friend as well as a teacher!
Thanks Bruno for doing a great job. My daughter said she learned a lot from the session. I will contact you for future tutoring sessions. I will need your help for my son who is Grade 7 and is struggling with Math too.
Darya tutored and advised me throughout my senior year of high school and my first year at college. Having Darya by my side throughout the stress of a year and a half journey has had a significant impact in my life. Although Darya's main responsibility was to tutor me for my Advanced Placement (AP) Literature class, she went above and beyond to what I expected of an English tutor. She helped me find my inner voice as a writer through tutoring me about grammar, organization, and vocabulary. She also helped boost my confidence as an underprivileged Latina studying in the STEM field as a computer science major at the University of California: Santa Cruz. I passed both my AP Government and AP Literature classes and tests which is significant because both required a heavy amount of analytical writing; I graduated high school with honors and with the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA), 3.7, at any time of my academic career. One week before I was going to take my SAT for the third time, I mentioned to Darya that I was struggling understanding a large portion of the Math section of the test. To my surprise, she was thoroughly capable skilled in tutoring me in math, along with English. In less than seven days, Darya was able to successfully prepare me for my last SAT test; subsequently, my SAT score improved by more than 100 points. If we had more time to go through the preparation book, I could have further surpassed this amazing progress. Another aspect in which Darya supported me in my college application and preparation process was in guiding me to refine my college essays for both private and public universities: as a result, I was accepted to more than half of the colleges that I applied to. Finally, I am most grateful for Darya and her efforts towards my success because of the high number of scholarships that I received in the second semester of my senior year in high school. Through Darya’s excellent editing and writing abilities, I was able to accumulate more than $200,000 in scholarship rewards from four different organizations. I could never have imagined this much triumph before meeting Darya; without these scholarship awards, I would have been forced to work during my breaks and during school to afford a college education. Now, all that I have to worry about is learning as much as I can while I am at UCSC. On account of my strong achievements in less than a year with Darya, I still utilize the many tips and lessons that she has instilled in me. As a result of this, I excelled in my classes at UCSC with a cumulative GPA of 3.6. Because of my outstanding academic success in the first quarter of college, I was exclusively invited by the university to apply to the College Scholars Program; this two-year program selects 20 students out of about 200 students applying from each college at UCSC to help give them meaningful academic challenges. Not only do I recognize Darya as one of the most significant people in my life because of my solid academic accomplishments, but also due to the genuine passion she holds to be sure that her tutees succeed. As her tutee, she constantly reminded me of my own abilities to encourage my confidence. We are still in contact today which further demonstrates her enthusiasm for her tutees. She is evidently benevolent, motivated, and intelligent, and I highly recommend her tutoring and guidance talents to any student who is fortunate enough to be her tutee.
Justin was a very patient and understanding math tutor. We worked at my pace, and he never hesitated or got frustrated when I asked him to go over concepts I was struggling with.
Angela does the best job of explaining concepts for AP/SAT if you are trying to learn something outside of school. We did our tutoring over the computer, but I actually found it more engaging than in person. For example, I was confused about cos (180degrees), because I hadn't learned about it in school yet. Angela's explanation also made 10x more sense than what my math teacher would say. Now I FINALLY understand how to find cos (180degrees)!
My 8th grade daughter had been struggling with algebra. Since working with Karen, her grade has gone from a C to a B, and she continues to improve.
We did in-person tutoring at the library for math. Our tutor was excellent. Arbor Tutors is just amazing!
BEST. ACT. TUTOR. EVER.
Dan tutored our daughter for 2 school years and was a great help in explaining math concepts that were very difficult to her. He was always will to explain it a different way to try to get it to click for her. Dan was always encouraging and had an upbeat positive attitude. I also really liked that Dan worked her for the full hour-- really got our money's worth. She would not have passed without his help. We'd still be using Dan if he hadn't relocated-- so I highly recommend his tutoring services.

I offer techniques and an understanding of subjects that other tutors do not. I wish to attain graduate degrees in Education and pursue a career in the field, so I have spent a great deal of time devoted to understanding learning styles and crafting specialized curriculum. I do not espouse problem memorization but rather conceptual understanding.
I have a strong background in health care, history, math and more. I can help you with SAT and resumes. I have a masters in health care and business.
I tailor my lessons to suit each student's learning styles and make sure they are engaged!
