About
Let's start out with what a health and wellness coach does? A health and wellness coach should be board certified (NBCHWC means board certified) to coach people on their health and wellness or parenting. Coaching is a process of meeting a client where they are in their health/wellness or parenting journey and supporting the client as they move toward their goals. The coach is not a therapist and does not provide therapy. Rather, a coaching journey is like riding in a car together. The client is in the driver's seat and is in charge of every session with their coach. The client decides where they are headed, how far, how fast and decides if we need to turn around. The coach is in the passenger seat along for support with maps and tools as needed. I love to coach people as they work toward their physical, mental or parenting goals. I have a Master’s of Public Health. I am a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBCHWC) as well as a Jai Institute Certified Parent Coach with 30 years in the public health field, 17 years as a health, nutrition and women’s health professor at a local college, Las Positas. Drawing from my experience in teaching, public speaking, and coaching, I find great joy in providing education and coaching to people who need support on their wellness or parenting journey.

Siah has been a lifesaver this past year. She coaches me for my personal and career goals.
