I am genuinely and abundantly passionate about what I do.
I treat each client need with the special attention it deserves, focusing on their unique vision, style and goals. I facilitate client projects with over 35 years of Leisure Architecture Design & Build expertise.
I work hard for each project and truly cherish the entire process. My favorite moment is when a client has that first glance at what I've created for them. I love to see their happiness upon seeing their vision become a reality and the experience of bringing to life what many of my competitors may not have deemed possible.

Elder was courteous, professional and most importantly a visionary for me backyard project.,he gave me valuable suggestions for things I could do to improve upon my initial vision and it came out even better than I could have imagined. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

Elder listen to thoroughly to my suggestions. He showed up early with sketches in hands for ideas that actually went well with ideas that I had. his quote was extremely professionally written, and very transparent. It was easy to see the things that we can omit in order to stay in our budget. It's the kind of way I love working so I knew upon meeting him that it was going to be a good business relationship. The work has not been completed yet. I'll review once it's completed but so far I'm very happy at the choice we made for landscape artist.

Working with Microresorts was a true pleasure. We were extremely lucky to find Elder through an old real estate agent and we couldn’t have been happier. Microresorts built 2 decks, concrete walls, a firepit, a fence with gates, and beautiful planters and also put in 2 irrigation systems, a drainage system, many plants, and a gas line to our firepit and grill. He also installed our hot tub including electrical. He also threw in some extra items that we didn’t expect which we needed to get done at some point.
Before we even signed a contract, Elder drew up plans and showed us his fantastic ideas for our outdoor space. He put a lot of work into the plans and it was clear that his vision matched ours. His workers were considerate to our neighbors. Elder met all of our immediate neighbors and game them his contact info. He told our neighbors to call him if there were any issues. When the workers showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday, one of the neighbors complained (even though this was much later than the 8am that the local ordinance allows). Elder had the workers come even later on Saturday to accommodate our neighbor.
The work was professionally done and looks amazing. Everyone who sees our space is astonished at the design and finishing work. Although the work took a little longer than the original estimate due to rain, it was completed as quickly as possible. It was well managed and there were no significant delays or problems. Elder dealt with us with respect even though we did change our minds on a couple of details after work started. He didn’t increase the price when we made changes even though we knew it would be a little more expensive for him (and we were willing to pay more). The hardscape is solid and we are not worried about maintenance anytime soon. We wanted a low maintenance house and he gave that to us.
Overall, I can definitely say that we are extremely happy with Elder Jerez and Microresorts. We would definitely hire them again if we had any more work to do. Choosing Elder and Microresorts was an excellent decision and we recommend him highly.

My experience has been exceptional. Elder’s guidance and experience with very important, complex jobs makes mine seem small…but he reassured me that he considers it of the same importance when it comes to completing it to my personal preference and more importantly, his own picky standards! Every interaction has be warm and pleasant. And his team of workers are so caring and tidy with the project. I wish I had more for him to do!!! Absolutely feel confident in giving him my strongest recommendation!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
By holding multiple licenses as Architect & Civil Engineer, I can offer my clients what few others can... the peace of mind that I'm a full-service choice for them. I am qualified and licensed to plan, design & build any project without requiring you to contract anyone other than Micro Resorts from beginning to end. I hold the liability, responsibility and control over the full-scale project. Therefore, I offer my services at a fair price for the quality you're getting. You may not find me to be the least expensive option, but you get a Designer & Builder in one who gets the job done correctly the first time. My clients have found that saved them money, time and a lot of stress in the end and are delightfully satisfied with their final project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have mastered a profoundly important skill...listening!
I may have dozens of ideas, but none are important unless they match the plans you and your family have made together. I meet with new clients and their families at their home for free and listen to them tell me about their lifestyle, ideas, near future plans, challenges and vision. I take into account with great importance, their culture, home activities, and each person's individual preferences. Only then can I begin to provide options that will fascinate the entire family and offer genuine solutions that match their budget and style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a proud member of both the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) with a background in Civil & Structural Engineering. A major project with Disney’s Epcot Center Imagineers made a lasting impression on me that led me towards a specialty in Leisure Design. On that team, I was able to expand my definition of a “successful job”. I don’t just aim to give my clients something beautiful and well built, I aim for the project to amplify their overall enjoyment of the home experience altogether.
