I have been taking violin lessons from Alex for several months now, and it is great! I am so happy I finally found a location that is close to my home, flexible and enjoyable! I am a older student, starting up on the violin after not playing for almost a decade and it has been a really fun experience so far! Looking forward to more lessons in the future! Thank you A Dawn of Music Studios!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for about a year and a half here. The reason I chose this place from the very beginning was because they offer a free t to kids. Who does that? People with a genuinely kind heart, that's who! & I was right!! The owners Andy and Pam are the cutest couple, with the kindest hearts! They are both so knowledgeable & they create a fun, warm and inviting atmosphere for all their students, from children to adults! We love this place so much, we drive from Temecula every week to continue our daughter's piano lessons! Since she started piano, her school work went from mediocre to top of her class! Her confidence has been boosted from all that she accomplishes through piano! I highly recommend all my friends to take their children here! With music being cut from schools, this studio has offers the prefect environment for your child to flourish through music. I know mine has!

I took Violin lessons with Nader for about eight years, and I can confidently say that those eight years made me the musician that I am today. When I first met with Nader, I could barely scratch out an elementary level piece. However, I do believe that I can now play any piece with the ability and technique I learned from Nader. Each lesson consists of scales and arpeggios, scale studies, etudes, bow studies, and one or two pieces of music. Nader teaches with an emphasis on the fundamentals (scales, arpeggios, scale studies, etc.) so as to build the best foundation possible. As far as music goes, the pieces vary with respect to time period and style. Over the years I played and performed several Baroque pieces (Bach Sonatas and Partitas, Leclair Sonata) some Classical pieces (Mozart Violin Concerto) and many Romantic pieces (to name a few: Wienawski Violin Concerto, Debussy’s Claire De Lune, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance, Saint-Saens’ Introduction et. Rondo Capriccioso, Bruch Violin Concerto, Manuel de Falla’s Asturiana) and a few modern pieces (e.g. Barber’s Violin Concerto). For the beginning student, Nader usually chooses a few selections from the Suzuki books, although he doesn’t necessarily teach the Suzuki method. He will also incorporate sight singing (Melodia) and ear training into the lesson to ensure that the student develops and sharpens a proper musical ear. Over the years I was introduced to and learned many of the important techniques associated with stringed instruments (e.g. vibrato, octaves, fingered octaves, double and triple stops, chords, artificial harmonics, Spicatto, Staccato (and other common bow manipulations), proper shifting between all positions, pizzicato, phrasing, etc.) He has an extensive knowledge of technique and composition which he uses to give the student the best education possible on the matter. Nader also makes sure the student understands that there is more to music than simply playing the notes. He teaches how to phrase and incorporate one’s own musicality into the piece. He also teaches the student about the culture and history surrounding the composer/piece that they are working on. This is not only informative, but also keeps one interested even if they find the piece difficult or frustrating. There is an annual concert where all the students perform the pieces they had been working on with Nader. This is a fun event with a relaxed yet professional atmosphere where students can showcase their talent and technical improvement. I always enjoyed these concerts as they were a tangible reminder of my own improvement and achievements. In retrospect, I found my lessons with Nader to be a very well-rounded experience. Not only did I learn how to play an instrument, but I learned how to be a musician. He is an awesome teacher and I cherish the time I spent learning from him; I wouldn't trade my experiences with Nader for anything. He always pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of and I learned so much from that. He is a very amiable, patient, passionate, generous, and patient teacher, so don’t be afraid to call! Whether you are young or old, beginner or advanced, there is always more to learn. Let Nader be your next teacher!

My daughter had violin lessons with Ms Amy for a year. We loved the convenience of having lessons in our own home with a great teacher, as her lessons were taught privately via Skype. Our only regret was that it would have been even better to work with her in person, but seeing as we lived in another state, that wasn't an option for us. Ms Amy was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to our daughter and helped her to love the violin.

US Music Lessons is great. My daughter's been receiving piano lessons for a little over a year now and it's been a positive experience. The teachers are nice and their rates are reasonable, better than similar services out there.

Richard teaches violin to my 16 y/o son. Richard's easy-yet-scholarly manner is a total win with a student this age. My son's progress has been remarkable. Richard is astute at facilitating the next step at each point of development. He is skilled, encouraging, and engaging and my son is very happy with the lessons, as am I!

Mr. Violin has been teaching my 13 year-old son violin for 4 years give or take. He’s great. He’s exercises lots of patience. He provides variety in lessons, squeezing a lot in one lesson. My son learns scales, classics, and other songs based off his interests and familiarity. He’s always very pleasant. You can tell he enjoys what he does.

We are thrilled to have found Mr. Rotzler. In just a few lessons he has taught our 14 year old things she has never been taught before in spite of having 4 previous violin teachers. Mr. Rotzler is not only exceptionally talented on the violin, but he also knows how to teach it! His dynamic personality makes the lessons fun while at the same time teaching proper technique. He is also very positive and motivating to students of all levels and inspires them to do their best.

      About

I teach piano, violin and guitar lessons at my home studio in San Diego, CA. Studio lessons are $30 for 30-minute lessons, $45 for 45-minute lessons, and $60 for one-hour lessons, with tuition paid monthly. I also travel to my students' homes for lessons. Depending on your location, a travel fee will apply for in-home lessons. I believe that learning music should be fun, and I tailor lessons to meet the individual needs and goals of my students. I encourage and assist my students in finding music that interests them and inspires them to practice and improve. All students are invited to participate in peer performance classes and recitals. I communicate clearly with students and parents, and help students set and achieve their musical goals. I have 15 years of experience teaching private music lessons, as well as preschool and elementary school classroom music. I studied music at the University of Minnesota and Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a composer, a performing musician, and a vibrant member of the musical community. I perform regularly in a variety of musical groups, including the Summer Januaries and Golden Tree Story, and record as a studio musician.
