- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After College I went to study Yoga and meditation at a retreat center in SD. I wanted to stay at the Yoga center where I was at, but unfortunatly my college bills were due after graduation, so I applied for the one job that was available at the center as the Chef. I taught myself to cook using affirmations and visualization techiniqes. I was able to train my subconsious mind to accept that I was a great chef in a few months and the rest is history! The mind is a much more powerful tool than we realize.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs are retreat catering events, private cooking classes, and cooking for special events such as graduations, weddings, and holiday parties.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Im proud of every job I do. I put 100 percent of my heart and energy into everything I do. The proudest job I have done however, was catering for a surf movie called 'Maverick's. It is a movie about a surfer who was known for riding giant waves in Northern California. It's was a truly an amazing feeling to watch the movie in the theater and see my name on the screen credits for catering!
