What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I take classes online and in person from time to time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always interested in how the mind works. Eventually I discovered hypnosis through a business workshop. One thing lead to the next and I became a client, then a manager of a large hypnosis center in Northern California. I was a believer very quickly. I became a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2001.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Stress and anxiety are huge contributors to our lives, it seems. From young people (as young as 11 recently) to older folks (one of my current clients is 88), anxiety can lead to insomnia, addictions, lack of success, even physical pain. I can help with all of this.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
An 88 year old client with IBS was unable to leave her home for fear of having an event while she was out. She was referred to me by a local psychiatrist, and so far she is feeling relaxed and far more comfortable.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for experience in a hypnotist or hypnotherapist you are considering working with. Excellent, true testimonials and client stories mean a lot to me, and most of my clients. I have many. Speak with me on the phone, or at least email, so that I may discover how you personally need help, then match my services to your unique needs. That way we can both determine whether there is a good match between us.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Hypnosis is still considered voodoo or weird by many. Which is actually very sad. The truth is, our mind is always working - why not simply direct in the way which we desire to go?
That's what hypnosis can do for us - in weeks, not years. Hypnosis has been used in one form or another since the 1800's. Complete surgeries were accomplished long before anesthestic was available, using only the mind.
