Initial conversations with Andrew were promising and pleasant. He sounded like he knew what and how needed to be done. He knew about all challenges of the project and was ready to address them all (us living in the house during remodeling was one of them). Unfortunately, working with Andrew was a very stressful and unpleasant experience. He doesn't know how to treat customers, gets very offensive, rude. His workers are unprofessional, lazy, and have to be supervised by the customer at all times, otherwise work needs to be redone or fixed. Andrew was not on the project regularly and sometimes it took 3-4 days before he came to the house to check on the progress. As a result the project was stretched for an unnecessary few more weeks. One of Andrew's responses about poor scheduling jobs: some weeks the workers worked 2 days, some 1.5 day/week, he said: "I'm a freelancer, and don't have any commitment to have 8 hours daily on your project". He didn't care that his workers didn't clean after the day of work, and left us for days (weekends included) in the middle of an unnecessary mess. We were very concerned about quality of the floor installation and he was trying to convince us that it's standard and the floor will " settle" in a couple of weeks, When almost all the floor was installed ( a small area in the living room was left to finish) and we asked him the check the quality of the installation before installing the floorboard, Andrew announced to us the he is stopping the project (after 6 weeks of work) and will send us a new quote to redo the floor! There was no way we would spend more time and money and have him and his workers to do that. Just because we were exhausted physically and mentally by Andrew, we asked him to finish the project. We have a "jumping" floor all over the house which will be a bad reminder of this contractor. Don't wish this on anyone! Stay away from hiring Andrew and Ucon Design and Remodeling.

We just finished a kitchen remodel with UCON Design & Build and it was an outstanding experience. UCON was referred to us by the project manager for LEICHT Architectural Kitchens. Even though we've done many kitchen remodels in the past with rental properties, we knew we needed a team that can handle a very sophisticated kitchen design with complicated features and lighting. UCON was definitely up to the task. Andriy was always quick to respond and follow up. Their installation team was always on time, courteous and stayed on task until the installation was completed which had to happen in two phases. The first phase was before the stone counter installation and the second phase had to be done after the stone counters were in place to install the stove top and accent lighting. Both times, their team showed up early and on time. At the end of each day, they would also cleaned up beautifully before heading home. After the installation was completed, a minor issue arose and Andriy was quick to respond and sent his crew back to us within 48 hours to address the problem. I would not hesitate to refer them to others for a clean, thorough and professional job.

I had an excellent experience working with Andriy and his team at UCon. Andriy is incredibly meticuloushe came out prior to the installation to take precise measurements and ensure everything was properly prepared before his team began work.We purchased our cabinets from Leicht in Costa Mesa, CA, and Andriys team handled the kitchen and bathroom cabinet installation flawlessly. They clearly knew exactly what they were doing and executed the job with great skill and efficiency.Although there were a few unexpected issues along the waysuch as a Sub-Zero refrigerator arriving damaged during shipping, which required us to repeatedly remove and reinstall some panelsAndriy remained patient and professional throughout. Some replacement panels had to be shipped from Germany, but he was very understanding and never pressured us for payment until the entire job was completed to our satisfaction.His team was consistently professional, punctual, and always showed up in company-branded shirts. Whenever I needed someone to come by, a team member was available within a day. Im extremely grateful for the high-quality work and customer service provided by Andriy and the entire UCon team.

Our pricing is based on the project scope, drawings, site conditions, system complexity, location, and required coordination. We do not price high-end cabinetry installation as general handyman labor. A clear scope and complete drawings allow us to provide the most accurate estimate and protect the project from change orders.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first review the project drawings, cabinetry manufacturer, location, installation scope, and expected delivery date. If the project is a good fit, we clarify assumptions, prepare an estimate, confirm site readiness, and coordinate the installation with the homeowner, designer, showroom, or general contractor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
UCON has more than 25 years of experience in interior construction and high-end cabinetry installation. We hold a California C-6 Cabinet, Millwork and Finish Carpentry license and have extensive field experience with European cabinetry, closets, wall systems, integrated appliances, and interior doors.
