Miracle worker? Absolutely. Seriously, I was at a loss about what to do with our rescue who is so stubborn and reactive, we didn't believe that she was trainable. We were referred to Ali at Kandid K9 and to be honest, we were pretty skeptical. Our dog would lose her mind when any skateboard, dog, car, truck, trailer, scooter (you name it!) came along. She is strong and determined and though my husband could handle her better than I could, we needed help! Ali and Kristina reassured us that it would be okay. Again...we were skeptical. After a few months of training, we have a new dog. We call her Billie 2.0. We then had Ali and Kristina train our second rescue (who was far less reactive, but impossible to walk on a leash. Squirrel? Bunny? Crow??? She was entranced by all of them.) Again, we were skeptical. But again, Ali and Kristina worked their miracles and now we have two of the best dogs in the world (well, at least in our opinion). We cannot recommend Kandid K9 enough. It is well worth the investment!

Topline K9 owner/trainer Stephanie's knowledge of dogs, how to read/understand natural dog behavior and also how to work with them on an obedience level, is beyond impressive. What sets her apart from others in her field is her ability to apply that knowledge to your individual dog and cater it to fit their specific needs. I have two dogs with two very different personalities. When they first met they didn't get along, and they also didn't respond to the same training styles and techniques. Stephanie used a variety of methods to train them both individually and together and gradually helped them to respect one another and establish a deep bond (they are now inseparable). She also helped me address and solve specific issues like separation anxiety, crate training, and handling distractions in public. Thanks to her, my dogs are very much an part of my family with good manners and that I can always rely on. To this day Stephanie is the first person I reach out to if I have a question or issue concerning my dogs and she is always eager and willing to help. You will not go wrong in choosing her to help you and your dog, she is the absolute best at what she does!

Ali is phenomenal! Shes the only person I can trust to watch my intense working dogs. Her knowledge of dog behavior and body language, as well as her love for dogs, is apparent in the way she cares for these animals. I cant even leave my dogs with close family members without them crying the second I hand the leash over. When Id get my dogs back from family, theyd act like cracked out heathens who were given zero stimulation. With Ali, my dogs start jumping, dancing, and howling the second they see her and dont even look back at me as she walks away with them! When I come back for my dogs, they always look very well cared for and act like theyve received more physical and mental stimulation than I could ever give! Thanks to Ali, I can finally get away without worrying about wether or not my dogs are in good hands!

Hands down the best dogtraining squad in all of San Diego. Ali, Josh and Christina are professionals, personable and very very knowledgeable. My Rocco started training with me at 6 weeks then he went for his initial training at 9 weeks, came back and went back for his adult training at 8 months. I continuously trained him every single day and still do until now, I never stop training him.Ali and her team not only train your dog, she trains you on how to be a great handler to set your pet for success, she will hold you accountable and makes sure youre doing your part. Im so grateful that Ali and I crossed paths because shes a true blessing and made having a husky a breeze, challenging all stereotypes and judgements received when we first got our fluffy baby. I cant wait for him to get his CGC.

We are so grateful our friends referred us to Kandid K9. When we got our Aussie at 8 weeks old, we knew pretty quickly we were in over our heads with her, as shes always had substantial anxiety and is mostly deaf (we didnt know this when we got her). We hired them for the basic training but after 5 weeks of struggling horribly with the crate, we upgraded her to the full puppy board and train package. After her first board and train, she came back with a completely different demeanor. We continued to work closely with Ali and Kristina who are also just genuine, cool people. Although were still working hard on her people reactivity, our girl has come such a long way. If it werent for Ali, Josh, and Kristina, we would have re-homed her without a doubt. They are professionals who are truly equipped to handle any difficult dogs, even the deaf ones :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are a competitively priced business with experienced professionals. We do offer a same day signup discount of $100 off any program selected the day of your consultation, as well as a competitive second dog discount at any time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we will begin our process by conducting a FREE consultation via telephone or zoom, to get to know the interested family, and their pup. During this approximately 45 minute time slot, we will discuss individual training goals, how dogs learn, our training philosophy, and programs we offer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our trainers boast a diverse range of certifications, garnered from esteemed organizations such as The Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers in California, the International Association for Canine Professionals, the American Kennel Club, Do More with your Dog, and many more. With a collective experience spanning over two decades, our team continuously seeks opportunities to expand their knowledge and expertise. They regularly participate in internships, attend seminars, and compete in advanced dog obedience competitions, all aimed at deepening their understanding of canine behavior.
