Introduction

I have an engineering degree from one of the best tech schools in India with an acceptance rate less than that of Harvard. I have tutored thousands of students in India and hundreds in the USA over the last 25 years. I have a thorough understanding of what works when tutoring different students, as each come with a unique set of experiences and learning style. Tutoring is my passion, obsession and addiction – I find it hard to get a good night’s sleep without it! Many of my past students are on my facebook friends list - they acknowledge my contribution to their career and are like family. The process of learning those skills which sustain us financially and emotionally throughout our lives is long and arduous. It really feels good to be a small part in the building processes of so many lives.

I contacted Sushanta last summer. I wanted to challenge Calculus AB and get directly into Calculus BC in the current school year. After solving hundreds of Calculus problems over the next two and a half months with him my confidence level shot up dramatically. I scored 98 out of 100 in the ensuing challenge exam. What I really like about the whole experience is his dedication and an eye for the detail. He is very patient and derives everything from the scratch. I was never afraid of asking a question no matter how silly it might be. I never felt so relaxed and comfortable with any other teacher. I wish him all the best.

I am a college student majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I sought Sushanta's help after I came among the last thirty in my Network Analysis class of 180 students. After one and a half months of rigorous online tutoring sessions I was among the top six in the same class. What sets Sushanta apart is his clarity of understanding of the subject and his ability to transmit the same into the student. I wish I had contacted him at the very beginning of the quarter as I am sure I would have been the class topper.

An amazing Physics teacher! I was completely lost last quarter in Physics, and my teacher barely helped(full office hours, bad lecture notes). With his help, I started to enjoy physics by understanding why things work the way they do rather than cramming formulas and hoping for the right questions to show up on the tests. I would highly reccomend him to everyone!

I managed to skip Algebra 2 with help from Mr. Chakrabarty. I really like that he tackles the core concepts rather than focusing on specific equations or relying on pure memorization. Deriving everything from scratch was a real life-saver on the test, as I could reason with myself to arrive at the right answer. Great teacher.
