They responded to the work request promptly with a site visit and bid within days. The job was started on schedule and completed with excellent skill and craftsmanship. Jim and Mike were easy to communicate and work with throughout the project. The price was also very reasonable based on multiple bids. We have a very distinctive home with wooden side shingles that needed evaluation and repair/replacement where necessary. This job required both technical skill and an artistic eye for matching and laying out the shingles. After receiving several quotes through Thumbtack and through friends, it was clear that Taras was the right professional for the job. He took the time to thoroughly evaluate our entire house before providing an estimate, and even identified issues we hadn't considered—like old or faulty caulking around windows and sliding doors, missing flashing, plus other potential problem areas that he wanted to look into. He also nicely reinforced the gate to the backyard, perfectly repaired house siding where the downspout had splashed for years. He assessed the planks on our large redwood deck which will be replaced in the fall. He then replaced or tightened all the screws that needed attention. He also painted the walls in a bedroom after he and an assistant moved a Murphy bed to another bedroom for me. As a special project, Paul built 2 mobile ramps for a very low profile Mini Cooper to get it into the garage without scraping the front spoiler. Paul puts a great deal of thought and effort into all projects he worked on. His workmanship is impressive and I highly recommend his handyman skills."See more
