FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the type of tax issue, the number of tax years involved, whether returns need to be prepared or corrected, and whether IRS or state representation is needed. Before beginning work, I review the situation, explain the likely scope, and provide clear pricing so you understand the expected fees and next steps. Some matters are straightforward, while others require more detailed review, filings, or agency contact.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is understanding the issue. I usually begin by reviewing any IRS or state notices, identifying the tax years involved, determining whether returns are missing or incorrect, and checking for deadlines, balances, levies, garnishments, or lien issues. From there, we organize the facts, address any required filings, and review practical resolution options. The goal is to create a clear plan so you know what needs to be done, what can realistically be expected, and what the next step should be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have nearly 30 years of experience in tax. My background includes tax preparation, planning, compliance, IRS and state tax notices, prior-year filings, business and individual tax matters, and tax-resolution work. As an Enrolled Agent, I am federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. My experience includes helping individuals, business owners, and self-employed taxpayers understand and address tax filing, payment, notice, and compliance issues.
