FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am a budget friendly way to design (or redesign) flowerbeds/garden areas because the homeowner is saving on labor. My minimum charge for design is $500 (5 hours at $100/hour). Please keep in mind that April-June are my busiest months. It is always a good idea to do the design work and get plants in the ground earlier in the year so that you can enjoy a beautiful Spring!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
• We start with a visit to discuss the project, take pictures and a few measurements. • I follow up with an email and an estimate for hours and timing. • Once the client approves, I accept a 50% deposit for the project design work and then put together a presentation including plant photos and an excel spreadsheet detailing the cost of the plants. • Changes can be made to the plant selections, numbers, etc. • The final presentation is presented and the remaining 50% for the design work is collected. • If I will be sourcing, delivering and placing the plants, I accept a 100% deposit for the plants and materials and provide an estimate for the sourcing, delivering and placement work. • I deliver and place the plants (or use flags) for the homeowner to plant or arrange for planting. Payment for sourcing, delivering and placement work is due at this time.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked at homes of all sizes and styles, on projects with fees ranging from $500-$15,000.
