• What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  Yes. I charge $40 for a 30 minute lesson. If the student wants more time than that then the amount per lesson is adjusted, similarly, it is also adjusted if they want more than one lesson per week.

• What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

  We have an initial trial lesson where I connect with the students about their goals for piano, talk about my style of teaching, and find out what their interests are in regards to certain genres of music. In the introduction lesson, we go over technqiue, theory, a method book, and choose either a performance book or a type of genre that the student wants to study. We also review scheduling and the process of payment within the first lesson.

• What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

  I studied piano for 14 years (from age 7 to age 19), and took an additional year of private lessons in college. In high-school, I received a high-school diploma in social music from the National Guild Association. With my liberal studies B.A., I chose my concentration as music and so had the opportunity to take music education classes, as well as studying music in the church. Currently, I have been playing piano for my church for the past year and growing in my field. I come up with at least three songs per week to play (prelude, offering and postlude), and occasionally more. I love developing my passion for piano in this way and it has brought a whole new light to the way I perceive music.
