Allison is not the stereotypical piano teacher, her number one goal is to make learning music fun. She's wonderful with my son and is so patient she always finds a way to make it fun!
Melody is bright, enthusiastic, supportive, flexible, and very competent. I'm 65 and still teaching at Fresno State. I think my last piano lesson before Melody was about 50 years ago. We have half hour lessons, which go by very quickly, but Melody really gets down to business, and we get a lot done. During some especially busy weeks, my practice time just gets wiped out, and Melody is very understanding about that. Since I have no great ambitions as a pianist, at this point, piano is mainly about the enjoyment of practicing and getting better for myself, and Melody is an ideal teacher for my situation, though watching her work with kids, it's clear she has the ability to adapt to the needs of a wide variety of students. Can't recommend her highly enough--a terrific teacher!
Rene was very professional and was very quick to respond to my request for a piano and violin teacher. She got back to be every time I had a question and was very flexible with there scheduling. Thir prices are very reasonable and the teacher that was assigned to us is outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.
I took piano lessons from Catherine for about a year, after not having played for 20 years. She was easily able to assess my skill level and come up with a curriculum for me. I had remembered some of the basics, but needed a lot of help with finger positioning and timing. Catherine is very patient and explains concepts in ways that are easy to understand. She could see that the lesson book I had been using wasnt working well for me, so she switched me to a different one. I learned so much in that brief time that I felt confident enough to play in front of people! I was the only adult student at the recital and it was a lot of fun. The kids clearly enjoyed working with her too and it was evident in their performances that she works well with kids of all ages. I highly recommend her!
I have been taking my 8 year old daughter to Mrs. C’s piano classes for about 1 year now. I am extremely pleased with how patient she is with my daughter especially due to the fact that my daughter is a beginner to piano lessons. I love the fact that she never rushes us and she takes her time with my daughter no matter how many times it may take My daughter to learn a new lesson. Her thoroughness is excellent. I have sat in on a few lessons and love how encouraging she is to my daughter and tells her she can do it and Tells my daughter she will get it, especially when she notices my daughters doubts or frustrations. She always tells her she wants the lessons tobe fun and something she enjoys! My daughter loves her and looks forward to seeing her weekly.
Three years ago my two older kids needed a summer activity to deter boredom from the 2 month break from school. I wanted them to have an outlet that would give discipline and at the same time be fun, and also give them a sense of accomplishment and enrichment. So, I signed up my oldest son for piano and daughter for voice lessons with Christie. As beginning students, they had their first recital with her that summer. It raised their confidence, and they had achieved a goal to perform on stage. What they learned far exceeded our expectations. That led to winter and spring recitals. Now three years later, as they continued with Christie as their music teacher, my son pursued electric bass and guitar on his own, performed in school talent shows and musicals. He can read music and listen to songs and learn to play them easily. Instead of playing video games all day, he plays soundtrack music from video games. My daughter also took piano lessons from her and is also pursuing violin at school. My youngest son even has an interest in piano and singing because the older ones are always practicing daily and thinks it's fun and wants to participate. As I said earlier, having Christie as our children's music teacher, far exceeded our expectations! She has enriched my family.
I took piano lessons from Janet Lynch for over ten years and I can easily say she is one of the best teachers I have had in any discipline. Not only did she teach me a wide assortment of piano songs and styles, but she also instructed me in theory, technique, and even music history. The skills I learned from Janet over the years have stuck with me too, and I continue to enjoy playing piano today. If you are thinking at all of taking piano lessons (or signing someone else up), I cannot recommend Janet Lynch enough--she's the best!
We love Fruit Shaw Piano School. It is a great value at this price! My grandson has progressed continuously according to his effort for 3 years now. Our teacher is kind, helpful, and stern when he needs to be. I am grateful for the opportunity this school has given us at a price we can afford. Great job, F.S.P.S. Pat Gibbs and Dawson

Esther is an experienced pianist. I'm at level 3 and I had some major gaps in my music theory background. I've recently decided to continue piano lessons with Esther, especially with regards to learning music theory. She has been very helpful with all my theory questions and often tests me to solidify my understanding. I'm grateful to have Esther as a teacher. She's experienced, dedicated, patient, caring, encouraging, and helpful. She's able to teach contemporary as well as classical pieces. Recommend.
I have been taking my son to Ms. Sunny for around 3 years now. Ms.Sunny is an excellent teacher. She is warm, friendly, loving and kids love to interact with her. She combines technical knowledge of music with actual piano-learning skills in a stress-free environment. She gently encourages her students to do their best. The Soft Mozart software has helped my son, not only, to learn songs but in the process, has helped him to develop his memory and an ear for music and has increased his concentration. My son loves to play the piano and every week, he waits to show off a new song that he has learned to Ms.Sunny. I highly recommend Ms. Sunny.
I am a concert artist with multiple master's degrees and a special certificate for teaching children. My studio includes students of all ages, and I treat each student on an individual basis according to his or her strengths and goals. I have students from Bakersfield, Visalia, Porterville, Lindsay, Selma, Exeter, Hanford and more. I have performed and recorded on radio, on television, and on the concert stage both nationally and internationally. One of my mentors was a prize winner of the International Chopin Piano Competition, and another won the Callas prize. I was invited to accompany the orchestra at La Scala in Italy. I have performed as pianist on PBS. I have accompanied my sister-in-law Tracy Harris, a Yamaha performing artist, as part of her solo concert appearance with the Tulare Symphony at the Visalia Fox theatre, and I performed Mozart's Piano Concerto #23 in 2011 with the Symphony as well. I have attached short performance samples to this site so you can hear me play. There are several works including, the Mendelssohn piano concerto, Mvt 1 with the Stuttgart orchestra. I just released my latest album, "Eklectick" which contains brand new arrangements of Chopin, Schubert, Bach, Saint-Saens, and more. You can also hear me playing live online. Every day I help people of all ages and experience levels improve their lives through music. I look forward to speaking with you to see how we can work together to help you and your children's musical aspirations a reality.

For those who are unsure of whether or not learning the piano is right for you, I offer a relatively low rate and teach all the basics. I am classically trained, though I am not CMAT certified (so I cannot register students for the annual CMAT test). For those with little to know experience or who might want a tutor, I can introduce you to all the materials you may be confronted with while taking a CMAT test, up to Level 6. Or if you just want to play your heart out and are not quite ready to take the plunge into learning the technical stuff, I might be just what you're looking for, whether you like playing Chopin or Bach or Smashing Pumpkins.
I offer piano lessons for beginning and intermediate students covering theory, technique, application, and performance.
I'm pianist with more than 43 years of experience and a preschool teacher with over 15 years of experience. I would love to help your little one begin to learn a wonderful skill!
I am a retired grade school teacher and enjoy working with children. I am an experienced pianist and enjoy music of all types.
I offer piano lessons for beginning and intermediate students of all ages. My services include the following: inclusive piano instruction, theory, lessons, and technique.
I am a classically trained pianist with 8 years private teaching experience. I welcome students of all levels and ages. No prior experience is required. My philosophy regarding music education stresses the importance of learning to read music. My students are required to have access to either an acoustic or digital piano, and must be prepared to commit to a minimum of 30 minutes of practice 5 days per week. Prospective students and parents should understand that they will begin by spending 30 min/week under my instruction, and that the majority of the work involved in learning an instrument is independent, self motivated practicing. This commitment is not without reward however, and learning a musical instrument has been found to influence many areas of study in a positive way. I look forward to working with all my current and future students, and I am committed to providing a thorough, fulfilling and fun method of musical instruction.
I offer piano, theory, and composition lessons to seasoned pianists and those with less experience. Lessons are provided on campus at Fresno State University in the New Music Department, where there are access to grand, stand-up, and electronic keyboards!
