Joel and his crew were quick to start (the day after I gave the ok) and finished the job pretty fast. I'm happy to have an efficient working system in place. I would hire him again for other household repair work.

I had a previous bad experience with a plumber, and decided to find a more scrupulous person to fix the half-done job. I decided to try out thumbtack, and posted a brief description of the work. Joel was the first of 5 plumbers to reply within the hour. Joel showed up the morning of the job with another employee and reviewed my plumbing issue in detail before going into the crawl space with his associate to double check the situation. He came back out, described the problem, offered short and long term solutions, and we agreed on which route to take. He assigned the work to his employee, and the work was completed in a couple hours. Although he was not the cheapest of those plumbers who replied, I did feel that Joel provided a reasonable price for the work, had great communication, and his employee also had all the necessary parts for the job in his van (eliminating the need to run down to Home Depot or Lowes for parts). Joel's employee was hard-working and he also provided me with before and after photos of the work completed. I am inclined to seek him out again for future home improvement projects (bathroom remodel, roofing).

Thought it was a broken drain line from the kitchen sink - was only a split pipe. Still needed to be replaced. Was the first to respond. Offered a free estimate! Did the work for the price quoted. Worked with me to reschedule because Edison was working on power polls and I had no electricity! It was supposed to be back on at 8:00 am but didn't come back on until 2:30 pm. (we were scheduled to have his crew out at 9:00 am) Still promised his crew would come out that day between 4:00 and 4:30 after they finished another job. They showed up about 5:00 and did what they could - worked until 6:00 to finish the original problem but found another but needed another tool they didn't have with them. Gentleman promised to show up on Saturday evening/night because he was working in the Valley that day but didn't come by (I figured he got back too late to come over, would have appreciated a call though). Contacted Joel on Monday morning and he personally showed up within 2 hours (and within the time he said he would) and finished up the job.

Most of my pricing comes from standard pricing system. Having been in this business for over 20 years I've developed a system of standard pricing for the most common of jobs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We pride ourselves in not only providing great service, but providing a great experience. From the start we want our clients to trust that we have thier best interest in hand. And if we could do that. We did our job!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Coming from a big family of 10 siblings, of which 6 are teachers, I've had the drive to be well educated in my profession. Having earned my associates degree at Santa Barbara City College. I started working for contractors to pay my way through school, but soon fell In love working with people, and making thier American Dream of making thier home thier own. And it was this that made me switch to studying all aspects of the construction industry.
