He was great, my ikea furniture is now not in boxes and I can live my life happy wahooooo
DeSimone Custom Furniture did a great job and in a timely manner. The fee I believed was reasonable. It was a wonderful experience and I have already recommended them to one of my friends.
I will not trust anyone but, Upholstery Elements Inc. This company knows the business. I was very nervous and confused on the color for my nearly 20 years old sofa and couch. Manny picked up my furniture and spoke me over the phone so professional. This was my first time experiencing upholstering of any kind and thank you Manny for making me feel so comfortable when I was not and getting a idea of what I would like to helped me select the perfect color. I have another furniture that will be coming to you real soon. I am so very happy and satisfied. I am very impressed and speechless. Wow... Wow!!! that is all I can say.... I love my old but new furniture. Thank you.
This past May, I contacted Thumbtack in search of a carpenter to downsize a farmhouse table that I bought from Habitat For Humanity for a wonderful $75.00, which was constructed of solid fir wood. Tim Martinez responded to my request, then I explained to him what I needed done to the table. I wanted the table modified in size with a rustic finish. Tim was so excited to do the job and explained to me what the job entailed. He was very knowledgeable in his craft and was excited to do the work, so I hired him. He gave reasonable quote for doing the work and for pick-up and delivery. Upon arrival to my home, he was very cheerful and excited, with portfolio in hand. I saw pictures of his woodwork projects, which were of doors, farmhouse tables, bars, etc. He informed me that it would take appx. 30days to complete the work, which I was fine with. When the table arrived, I was so pleased and it was exactly what I wanted. The table was beautiful! It was downsized to my specifications and the lime wax finish was nice! Then he gave me thorough instructions on how to care for the table. As a person that does many DIY furniture projects, I often call Tim for suggestions to complete the jobs. He's really cool and I will most definitely hire him for future projects.
We are currently working with Ghiasi Designsand it’s been an amazing experience so far! Arash has done it for over 20 years, so anything from furniture selection and materials selection, he has been on point, not jeopardizing our own style but at the same time elevating us to another level of existence and challenging to truly transform life along with transforming space. Very patient, honest, and fun and easy to work with. People were very impressed with our choice of designer and his selections everywhere I went with him or taking his samples and our house is coming together beautifully. I am managing renovations myself and he has been tremendously helpful, kind and patient but honest when it comes to my questions of choices, placements. Although our contract was for design and furniture, not project management, when he kindly offered one of his subcontractors to me when I needed extensive lighting work in my house , I had a glimpse of the quality and a value that he could bring to the turn key and project managemebt contracts. Even during our initial phone consultation and then first fade to face meeting/2 hrs consultation I was impressed with how intuitive and sensitive Arash is to the needs of the client and also space solutions. We have eventually listened to most of his initial advice and the one I didn’t listen to, I looked back and thought: I should have listened. So if you hire Ghiasi Designs for your project, submit to his creative genius and enjoy the process!
I originally hired Kenny to put new floors in my kitchen and bathrooms. I quickly realized he could do most anything. By the time he left he had installed new floors, Painted my house (inside and out) Replaced outlets and switches, Built a closet and a custom piece of furniture and radon other fixes and improvements. I can't say enough good things about him. He showed up when he said he would. The projects all came in on budget. I highly recommend Kenny for any household projects.
Aaron has refinished several pieces for me and I will go to him ONLY for all furniture repairs and refinishing. I love antique and old family pieces of good quality. Aaron has made everything I bring to him beautiful and like new. He is efficient and thorough and a really good guy too! His prices are reasonable as well. Aaron as soon as my son moves out AGAIN I'll be bringing that four poster antique bedroom set!
This was the first time that I had to hire someone for removal of my furniture. I reached out to Thumbtack and the I received the quote from Kenneth, which was the best quote that I had. When he came to haul away my furniture, it was a lot more than he expected and said that the charge was going to be double from what he quoted. Due to his persistence, he was able to haul everything away in one load!! I don't think other haulers would have been so conscientious. I would definitely use him again.
Mike Lindsey is a superb craftsman, a hard worker, and a good guy. I couldn't recommend a carpenter more highly. We needed a fence built to replace our old one that had been damaged by a hit and run driver. We had several "fence builders" come out to talk about the job and give us an estimate. They never even called back. The excuses went on: the job was too complicated; it would entail a finish carpenter that the company didn't have; they couldn't take on the job at the time. I almost gave up, then thought to search for a carpenter instead of a fence builder. That's how we found Mike. He worked with us to create exactly what we envisioned and offered suggestions that greatly improved the look and quality of the fence. His approach and pricing strove to make the job as fair as possible for himself, for his workers, and for us. He found us the best wood possible. The skill he has shown and the care he has taken in building the fence and swinging, saloon-style gate are remarkable. At last, we will a magnificent fence that will last for years. Soon, I'll be posting photos of the finished fence and gate.
Amazing! Tony was so great between dropping off samples for us to look at to answering all of our questions in between the process. He finished our piece in a timely manner and we couldn't be happier! Our old brown sofa was transformed into a beautiful new piece of furniture with new legs, fabric and a new feel to it. On his way out after dropping off the furniture, I snagged him over to measure an outdoor cushion to have done. We are so happy with the service and quality provided. In the midst of remodeling our home, We will definitely be using DeSimone Custom Furniture to help transform some other pieces in our home. We have sent out recommendations to our family and friends and have a few others that will be contacting Tony for their own furniture. Thanks so much Tony!
We recently moved from an apartment loft in Downtown Los Angeles to a home in Northeast LA, after having our first child a year prior. We contacted Chinyere ("Chin") to help us with the design of our new house. From the very beginning, Chin was really great! She spent a lot of time with us, getting to know about us, our interest areas, aspects of life that were important to us (culture, hobbies, family, etc.) that could be incorporated into the design of our home. She came to our loft and took measurements and pictures of the furniture we were likely to keep and braided them into the vision of our new house. She also came many times to look at the new space so that she could really get a feel for what was needed. She developed beautifully detailed design concepts for all the rooms in our new home, and she really nailed it. She picked a lot of images, furniture pieces, and ideas that fit our styles and our life--things we wanted but didn't even know it. She really listened to us and selected colors for our house that we loved and really represented what we are about and really helped make our house OUR HOME. Chin was very thorough and also flexible in her approach, always emphasizing that what mattered to us was the most important thing, whether it be cost or colors or different styles or details. She really catered to our needs, had a very "hands on" approach yet also was very willing to change plans based on how our priorities changed (and we had to change things up many times!). She got us excited about moving and motivated us to bring life and style to each room in our home. We didn't get to finish all of the plan due to budget, but through Chin's guidance and the design concepts she created, we know we will be able to complete the full vision as time goes on. And we are very happy with what she helped us accomplish. Overall, I highly recommend Chin and Insite Design Group. She really cares about making your place a reflection of you and she will take good care of you!!
Kyle was the first, but not the only, person to respond to my request to assemble the dreaded Ikea furniture. He got me with his friendly personality, clear understanding of the task, competitive fee, and prompt responses to my emails. He was perfect! Prompt, responsive, great personality so fun to have around but most importantly he knew what he was doing and had all of the right tools. The furniture is perfect and it was a great experience. Thank you, Kyle! And Thumbtack! I will definitely use both as often as possible. Unexpected and wonderful first time experience.
Custom dining table. Jamie met with me at my home and provided finish samples. My table was delivered on time and on budget!
