FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my rates on distance from my home, amount of time spent with pets, details of job and the number and types of pets. My believe my prices are fair and reasonable based on my experience and knowledge.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend conferences when offered and I am CPR/lst aid trained. I attend monthly network meetings with fellow pet sitters and work very hard to learn as much as I can about the animals I care for so they are comfortable and happy when their owners are away.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I founded and ran my own family childcare for 13 years prior to starting my pet sitting career. I took care of infants, toddlers and preschoolers and provided them high quality care in a home environment. I interacted with the children and their parents day in and day out. Taking care of fur children is a huge responsibility just like human children and I have that past experience to help me in my pet sitting career. I guess you could say I'm a natural born caregiver!
