Rob K. says, "Amer and his Ecostep team to turn our small 1920's 3 BR home to a 3 BR with a small office we needed to be able to work from home and allow our 2 teens to finally have their own rooms. Amer took the plans our Designer Amy Guiang of New Avenue Homes created, to efficiently repurpose underutilized interior space, move a closet and 4 interior doors to create the additional workspace we needed and keeping 2 good sized bedrooms. It was important to us that the finished product look like it was part of the original house and not an office plopped in the middle of the house. He finished the office with build in cabinets and a desk and French doors that open to our dining room. Amer's team was very careful retaining as much of the original trim and matching new trim and flooring so that it all looks like it was part of the original construction. Four of us were still working, living and going to school in the house during Covid during the project and Amer and his team did an excellent job working around us and finishing the project as quickly as possible.
The project was kept on-time and on-budget. Amer did a good job of anticipating any complications you would expect opening walls with 100 year old plaster, electrical and framing and dealt with any complications with minimal impact to the budget.
I would definitely hire Amer and Ecostep again for a future project."See more
